Gavynn: I see youuu!

Me: My camera's off. How can you see me?

Gavynn: That tiny star right above your house? That's me watching over you.

Me: Awe..

Gavynn: Every time you smile it gets a little bit bigger.

Me: Oh, jeez. Stop.. I'm smiling so much.

Gavynn: UNTIL IT COMES AND CRASHES DOWN ON YOUR HOUSE, what???!

Yeaaahhh soooo....I had to get the new Final Fantasy XIV:HW Benchmark and had to make an Au Ra. While I wasn’t totally thrilled with all of my choices, I still really like the overall aesthetic of the race. So I translated my character Gavynn over. He is an Au Ra courtesan, employed in the Bordello my friend’s Au Ra character will be running. Haven’t delved too deep into his story yet, but he was captured as a child and sold into slavery to a red light district. I know he doesn’t look /exactly/ like the Au Ra in-game, but I wasn’t a huge fan of such chunky scales. Anyway he was fun and pretty XD He’ll definitely be one of my guilty pleasure characters!

"The White Serpent"

I recently restarted one of my old favorite characters. Gavynn went from a shy warrior with little story to the White Serpent, the leader of a chain of Bordellos called the Red Lantern in an AU story our group is working on. He is of a race, currently called the "Wild Elves", which have an affinity for plants: thus the tapered ears, alien eyes and lotus blossoms everywhere. Created to be "perfect", as the Wild Elves experiment in bio-engineering, Gavynn was once the previous White Serpent's favorite showpiece. However, he slowly bided his time before enacting a coupe that set him as the new White Serpent. Gavynn then recreated the entirety of the Red Lantern into a prosperous and safe place to work, changing the policies to favor his courtesans. Not surprisingly, with better care given to the employees and establishments, the Red Lantern has now become the premier place of the wealthy to enjoy. A strict policy involving masks helps to hide the more...sensitive nature of the job and ensures the safety and reputation of all involved.
