What are your thoughts on Canadian, Katherine Cheung, who said she was the victim of a racially-motivated attack in downtown Toronto Wednesday for being Asian?

Fucking awful, yet unsurprising it's an elderly woman in Toronto, the mental health of poverty and homelessness in Toronto is something I've personally dealt with (as in, when I lived there, a random homeless dude started blaming me and my racial background for his lost job). Unfortunately, the report from CTV describes the incident like she dealt with a homeless woman (unsure as they as are lacking key descriptors about the report, but you can read yourself x) and if that's the case, sorry, that's just Toronto, they'll only do something about it if it pushes their political clout.

My heart goes out to the nurse who is still working despite all this shit and being treated incredibly poorly, she deserves to be treated like a human being and not like a disease.
