MSQ Update

Pretty Solid Update, I can definitely see the writers' plans for this arc. I feel like the themes of leaving your past behind and embracing new possibilities (Note this isn't necessarily a positive things, could easily be turned into a negative one depending on the character) As far I can tell they want to make a point that the sky is endless, but more narrow in certain aspects because you way less room to do things with.

I finally care about Flykis and her story has started with nothing crazy, but a solid arc to have a nice base for her character to grow. Her sisters look cute too and I wonder when we're getting them playable

Sandalphon's sections was short, but I liked seeing him interact with non-main characters and it's nice seeing act as the serious supreme primarch and fulling his role like Lucifer of being someone people can aspire to.

The light and Dark Odious raids are mean I have a setup in mind, but man it's really prone to messing up I need to get to work on a decent FA

This Cat is amazing and I want them to meet Ewyiar

Thinking how variant color 13 on VS is said to be "color inspired by someone that important/held so dear by the respective character" and Bubs being Lucilius color...

Also I remember the Japanese text on his VS profile basically stated Lucilius being his "former partner" which for some reason it's not translated that way on the Eng version.

Back then before the Eng version release, I saw someone on twt translated his profile and that part was translated into "former comrade"

Yet it seemed their relationship was downplayed somehow on Eng...like, why?

I just wanna see more about their relationship and how they paralels with their original

Beelzebub is pretty much obsessed with Lucilius that's for sure, but his obsession is like motivation for him to better himself as well as (it seemed to be) him trying to prove some point to Lucilius, but most importantly getting validation from him

One thing for sure too, Lucilius is indeed an important person to him and their relationship might have seen better days but I wish to see them interacting again

//and even reconcile, convincing Lucilius to not destroying the world

I was watching Eustace's fate episode and it's really funny to me how quickly the captain clocks like "Hey friend (my totally not boyfriend) are you feeling sad over your dead family right now?" Like I can see the train of logic, but the leap is crazy like Captain are you speaking from experience would you like to talk about your unresolved grief about your family No? Figures...

God farming Belial's horns is so annoying what does that entire raid series just not drop like anything on host, and it was really funny doing so much Belial that when I had to go back to Ewyiar for his jewels for 220 uncap I forget that 'oh yeah not every raid has an entry trigger"

Momvasion Captain Rambles

You know one thing that Momvasion made really clear to me is that recapping what happened in Estalucia has to suck for the Captain because you have all the cool parts of like we took down the gods and saved the world.

But then you have like yeah, I met my Dad and my Mom, and yes, I was forced to separate from the people who I love and who love me back unconditionally despite issues that we never given the chance to work out.

Like imagine having to tell that part of the story to the crew who have been implied to be scattered to the winds post-Estalucia over and over again. Especially for a character who is generally assumed to be emotionally closed off when it comes to their deepest feelings having to peel like one of the worst emotional wounds of their life probably wasn't fun.

Another thing that's always been interesting to me is how Granblue is very much "Found Family Vibes" TM, but the Captain doesn't really participate in that so to speak like the Captain is always very clear about who is a member of his family and who isn't.

Like Katalina and Rackam might have a older sister/brotherly relationship with the Captain, but they aren't his family.

It makes sense once you realize that yeah, a lonely child with spent most their life alone with only one companion as their family wouldn't so easily give out that title especially when if you think about the Captain has only been a Captain for a very short amount of time of their life

Read the event, it was sweet the dynamic were fun and I was rewarded by the fact that I knew The Captain would absolutely be having "feelings" TM over his parental situation because omg that is oof. And the fact that everyone is like yeah that sucks Captain, is both funny and sad.

Seeing the mom and child dynamics were fun, you can see how characters like Naramaya, Anthuria, Clarisse, and Aliza have clearly been raised and shaped by their parents. I hope we get a dad-vasion event soon

I was going through Walfrid's character profile and it's really funny how his dislikes are just Freewheeling people. Wow Walfrid I wonder who's that supposed to be releated to. Gallanth and Walfrid have so much homoerotic tension despite both men having wife and kids it's crazy. Like do you think Walfrid ever wonders about the fact that if he and Gallanth were on better terms at the end of their first journey. That in all likelihood, The Captain would be calling him uncle

GBF Zodiac Event Tale of The 108

Just Finished Reading the event and my first thought was, I can't believe a side Zodiac Event just completely mogged their anniversary event in terms of writing

Like Sandria the new zodiac is great, they sold me on her backstory, character, and I can see how she'll fit in with the rest of the group when it comes to seasonal alts

The twist was good and genuinely unexpected and had good framing and foreshadowing that made the moment intresting.

We spent time dealing with the climax of the conflict and actually a devote screen time dealing with the resolution of that twist in a narratively compelling way.
