“look, i know the water is super bad- i agree. not convenient for anyone, even less fun for everybody. unless your superpower is fish related- but, sorry, that’s a different question. anyway, superman’s super strong, right? can’t he just create a ladder of people, and take them into the sky so they’re free from the water? or drink all the water.” he paused to breathe. “dude, do you think superman could drink all the water?”
Nate turned on his T.V to see the storm that raining havoc on the city. The storm’s winds were blowing cars over, shattering windows. The rain made it difficult to see, and the lightning was causing even more damage. He saw that people needed help and he knew that he could give it to them. He quickly burst open the doors of his apartment building and ran outside, where he could see the dark clouds overhead getting darker as they hit closer to the city. Nate’s Iron Lad suit formed around his body before he took off into the sky. “Hey, Stark are you seeing this? People need us out here,” Nate told Tony, using his suits comm system.
it’s been six weeks since the worlds turned in on themselves. six weeks of confusion, distrust and a sense of homesick that can’t be tamed. with everything going on, and no clear way of rectifying the situation, our heroes and villains alike have had to do the one thing that they couldn’t have imagined that very first day: they settled.
life is not what they had pictured now, nor is it something that can be changed, but it is liveable, and for all intents and purposes, it is almost like nothing has changed. except, it has. nothing is the same. signs are backwards, books are unreadable and the sky continues to darken with every passing day, but then...
it starts with the rain. light drizzles that barely coat the grass of central park soon turns deadly, falling in torrents that drown out the streets in no time. after the rain comes the wind, howling and screeching so loud that it can be heard in every corner of the earth. compasses and gps gadgets going haywire with their direction signals, thunder that is soon paired with lightening. it seems that, with every element that the world is throwing at them, another is added on top with no signs of stopping.
it’s not long before the streets are filled with screams, shouts and the pattering of rushing feet frantic for shelter. buildings suffer as the wind terrorises structures, ripping them apart and tearing them down with it’s unchecked rage.
cyclones, hail, thunder and lightening, unstoppable rain; a deadly combination of natural forces that are unmatched by anything our heroes have ever seen before. now the question lies with what can they all do together, to help ensure as many people as possible survives, or secure their own safety above anything else?
