Do you know how the EO2 Aquarium works in any detail? I go every week to change the exhibits according to the theme and rotate the non-applicable tanks, but that's all I got. Should I ration new species to keep interest up over a long period, or are visitors proportional to the total number of displayed species? Are four 1-square creatures worth the same as a 4-square? Are species exclusive to a region worth more than species that appear there and elsewhere? I'm at 410k visitors, 2.7k a day, and I'm almost done with the rest of the game content.

unfortunately, the aquarium is one of those unsolved mysteries about this game... our current knowledge gained via data-mining has not made it any more clear.

i'm sure we'll figure it out one day, but today is not that day... best of luck to you with your aquarium efforts though!

Hi, I have two questions: one, I did fanart of your Chonko dragon and I'd like to know if it's ok by you to get it printed and hang it up (I'm really happy with how it turned out). Two, do you have any resources on the care of Eastern Painted Turtles?

As for turtles, I recommend the Mid Atlantic Turtle & Tortoise Society’s page on turtle care. There are a lot of additional resources there, too.

Started EO1 because I don't know how much longer it's going to take to 100% EO2 (25 titles left and most of em are the nasty ones). I saw on TV Tropes and maybe the wiki that zoom mode spots were randomized, and I thought that meant the contents- IT'S THE ENTIRE ZOOM SPOT?? GOOD GOD.

haha welcome to the club! eo1’s zoom spots are often random, though there’s a surprising amount that are static as well…

i like the idea in concept, because it’s just one more way that eo1 never gets boring for me… but in execution, it does make 100% completing the encyclopedia a living hell- few in the community will defend it lmao

Another comparison! I feel like I could have done a better job on the tail... but compared to the original, it’s a vast improvement. Speaking of improvement, I’m very happy with the new version’s hair!

The date on the signature doesn’t match the label- that’s because the majority of the time I spent on this was in December, but I just finished it on January 1st.

I spent a lot of time fiddling with the pallette, but it ended up being very similar to the original. Go figure. I like it a lot better, though!

Three years of progress! Getting a tablet probably helped tremendously.

The original image was actually inspired by something a girl sitting next to we was drawing- a figure wearing a loose shift with a curvy heart necklace. I wanted to draw as well as she could, so I made my own attempt- then, on impulse, added wings (pretty ugly wings in retrospect). Having just acquired Photoshop Elements, I scanned it (it’s a HUGE file, dear lord), colored it, and saved it as ‘Angel’. Now, my files being sorted alphabetically, this old drawing taunted me whenever I tried to open something up. Recently, I decided to take action: I redrew it, and made this side-by-side comparison. Let me tell you, it feels really nice to see how far I’ve come.

The angel is the first in a series of pictures I did of mythological half-humans holding flowers- look forward to the redraws of the rest!
