This a little late being posted, and the changes have already been made in the game, but I figured we would make it official now.
Given the recent actions come to light about Blake Jenner, it has been agreed by all that his face claim will be added to the banned face claims list. In no way, shape, or form should his actions against Melissa be deemed acceptable. We here at GleedaleHQ strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of our players and because of that we will never tolerate the use of face claims of abusers no matter who they are or their connections to Glee canon.
For this reason Ryder Lynn's face claim has now been changed to Alberto Rosende. #WeStandWithMelissa
I know that things have been a little rough lately. With everything going on in real life, I do know that things seemed to have stalled around here. With that in mind, I'm going to shut the group down for a few days. It's by no means permanent, I have absolutely no intentions of going anywhere, but I'm going to rework a few things in the background. Then we will be relaunching with a new event, and we'll get the ball rolling again. So stay tuned, kiddos. We'll be back shortly.

We would like to post a brief reminder for everyone! Please remember that you need to be posting a new starter more than once every few weeks/once a week. While it’s a small town and life can, indeed, be boring, things that were relevant a week ago might not be relevant now. There hasn’t been a Black Hood sighting in a little over a week, and things will cautiously be starting to return to normal for most people. Life cannot and would not come to a complete stop because of the Black Hood. We have 20+ characters, and there are only four or five starters that were made less than a week ago. With new characters joining, we would like to give them something to reply to that isn’t pertaining to events that took place nearly/more than a week before they arrived.

With a very heavy heart, I'm sad to say that this will be the last admin note I will be posting.
From this point forward, there will no longer be any updates, activity checks, hiatus requests, new members accepted or official plot drops posted.
As of Friday, Feburary 15th, GleedaleHQ's main is officially closed.
This decision wasn't an easy one to come to and I've spent a long time agonizing over what to do because I never want to give up on this group or lose anyone here but after much difficulty it feels like this would be the right move for everyone.
From the first week I opened Gleedale, I knew this was going to be unlike any other roleplay experience and unlike any other group that ever existed and as we grew it only got better. In these few incredible months we all shared in something amazing. Every member, whether they were there since the beginning, still here, only with us a short time or no longer apart of the group made this place into something that can never be replaced. The friendships and bonds we created were a blessing, forever leaving a lasting impression on a lot of lives. I want to thank you all, from the very bottom of my entire being, for making GDHQ a place I was so proud, to not only watch over as an admin but be apart of the magic as a member and friend. There aren't enough words to ever tell you all how lucky I feel to be apart of something so special. You all made something that will forever be the standard for other groups to live up to.
I know this isn't going to make a lot of people happy because there are so many plots or characters things left unresolved, but I need you to know that this doesn't mean it's all over. Everyone still here is welcomed to continue posting and play out their plots, ideas or anything else, for however long you want or need.
I won't be closing the ooc or removing anyone but they can leave of their own accord, if that's what's best for them. I'll still be there and still keeping my own character, to keep going in an unofficial group way. We can come up with plots together and see what happens. I still hope to continue to rp with you all however long you want.
Thank you all for taking one small, stupid, idea I had one night and ran with on a whim, and making something that will always have a special place in my heart.
We will be doing our first ACTIVITY CHECK since the reopening on March 09th. Any character not hiatus who remains inactive might be subject to removal at this time.
After this we will resume regular activity checks with allowances for only FOUR DAYS of inactivity before removal.
We'd like to stress the importance of activity at this point as we're starting plot drops once again.
In order to have as much involvement as possible from characters and players alike in important upcoming events, tasks, fun extras and plots, please seriously consider if you have the time to devote. As it would he unfair to your fellow members who might be left out or without a partner due to the lack of activity.
The admin just wants to take a few minutes to be sappy and gross.
When I started this group I was so nervous. I was scared that it would fail before it started or no one would join. I was afraid because every group is always like playing Russian Roulette, you never really know what you're going to get or how it's going to turn out. With every new person you worry that something is going to happen and cause the whole thing to collapse or worse there would be toxic drama. I had so many fears but not anymore because every one of you are a gift from the rp Gods.
Every day has been a blessing and a joy. Every new member and character has brought something so special. I can't even begin to tell any of you how grateful I am that you joined and you're apart of the GDHQ family.
Thank you all from the deepest depths of my heart for making this quite literally the best group I have ever been lucky enough to not only admin but to be apart of.
Nothing but good thoughts and vibes to you and yours during this holiday. I look forward to ringing in the new year with all of you.
So here we have it, the reopening has happened. It’s been a crazy week with the behind the scenes we’ve been doing in order for this to happen. I personally reached out and asked all players for anything that might have happened in our transition period or, for any plots they had going that they wanted to continue and for an update on that.... So without further ado....
Franco Del Rio is still recovering from his kidnapping incident and although most of his physical injuries are healed, apart from needing crutches, he is suffering with his mental health, especially with some of the stuff he witnessed after the kidnapping.
Kurt Hummel told his dad what had happened with the Ghoulie Leader and was once again put on house arrest, with an allowance for going to work at the police station, but only in admin and reception. He is still in his relationship with Alejandro.
Alejandro Hart spent valentines at a pet shelter and enjoyed it so much, he now volunteers there in his spare time. He is still in a relationship with Kurt.
Darius Anderson has been a busy boy. What people don’t know is he murdered the former serpents leader son, Kevin Platt Jr. This is a secret Darius has not told any one. After that, a fight broke out between the Ghoulie Leader and Darius and the Ghoulie leader was left on the ground injured and told to get his group, pack up and leave Sunnyside. In a moment of thickheadedness and desperation, the Ghoulie Leader threatened Blaine’s life. Darius turned with his own knife and ended the Leader’s life, forcing the Ghoulies out of the Serpents home.
Wes Montgomery has finally returned the penguin he stole from the zoo.
Becky Jackson wants to be a queen and still thinks she is head bitch in charge.
Brittany Pierce still says her cat, Lord Tubbington is the Ghoulie leader but let’s be real, after what happened to the actual Ghoulie Leader, it’s probably a good thing he is just a cat.
Topher Pierce has been working on his novels whilst deciding whether to rejoin his family in the serpents or not.
Brody Weston has been working around the clock, protecting homes and trying to heal a broken heart.... Maybe that’s why Charlie Rose has been caught with him a few times?
Jackson Hayward was in an accident, maybe a gang attack, who know but he has been in hospital recovering from his injuries and plans to turn Northside when he gets out.
Max Adams lost some hours at work and is making the decision to go back to school or not.
Jackie St James has been keeping busy with her dance studio and preparing for an upcoming recital whilst enjoying a few nights out with her friendship circle.
Bethany Cohen-Chang helped Jackson to the hospital and realised that, she is not ready for the chaos to hit her at all, so kept herself busy with work.
Vivian Porter spent Valentines weekend away, trying to deal with the anniversary of her fathers death. When she came back, she detached herself from the outside world, making herself protective to some of her friends, including Jackson. A lot of free time is spent at the hospital.
Dominic Westbrook kept himself busy with work and fixing his truck, keeping himself out of trouble.
Quinn Fabray left the family home, moving into her own place.
Marley Rose has been studying hard and picking up shifts at Pops to keep herself busy.
Charlie Rose has spent the last few weeks mainly just working. She quit her job at Excelsior Comics, feeling she wasn’t making the money she needed to support herself there, and now works at the same bar as Cameron July on the weekends. During the week, she works mainly night shifts at Pops. During the fight between Darius and the Ghoulie leader, Charlie was on the sidelines supporting Dare the the entire time; she helped stitch him up and patch his wounds afterwards. She’s also been spending a little more time with Brody Weston, a friends with benefits relationship starting to develop between the two. Her relationship with Luke has taken more of a friends turn than friends with benefits, and though the benefits are certainly still there, there have also been some underlying, serious feelings beginning to develop for the Hudson man that she’s desperately trying (and failing) to avoid.
Since the death of the Ghoulie leader, Gia Rossi has started pulling herself away from the gang affiliations - reminded entirely too much of the life she’s running from. Short of a miracle, there’s not much that could pull her back into that violent fold. She’s been spending most of her time at the dance studio, teaching classes and dancing on her own. When she’s not at the studio, Gia can be found at The Register working on her latest article. She’s also been writing an anonymous blog for the people of Riverdale, called The Riverdale Resistance, to help keep the city’s people informed on what’s really going on inside their city instead of the heavily edited and redacted garbage she’s seen coming out of The Register lately.
Needing a break from the drama of Riverdale Luke used some of his savings to take a vacation to Cocoa Beach, Florida. Spending a week there allowed him to clear his head. When he returned to Riverdale he returned to work at the bar and to the Serpents. He’s a little nervous about where he stands with Darius (because of their fight over Blaine and Serpent Territory) but in general he’s glad to be back with his family. But the main reason he’s happy to be back in Riverdale is because of Charlie Rose. He won’t admit to anyone but he’s beginning to want her as more than just a friends with benefit. He’s truly starting to fall for her and it scares the shit out of him.
