there's no outward reaction to langdon's hard grin or choice in words. he simply sits there, cigarette in hand, piercing gaze unwavering from his charge. john henry took the current situation into careful consideration before choosing his next words. he'd worked hard to keep the full extent of his own abilities under wraps and he wasn't about to let anything slip now, but he also knows that outright lying would only make things worse.
