The pair were so comfortable around one another, even without meaning to be. ‘I hear there’s a fitness trail goin’ down. Thought we could go. You can kick my ass and then, we’ll grab some beers. Celebrate your victory and your youth.’ The back of his knuckles affectionately brushed her jawline. ‘Not a damn wrinkle in sight.’
