So while i was drawing this i came up with a headcanon that when children who are unloved want to leave the undercroft - Gealltannis doesn't feel that being sent back to a toxic environment is a good idea she probably contacts Siael to see if he will take them since they don't want to be faeries. They're probably talking about that stuff rn.
Picking a drabble prompt was hard man, but : Join me!!
Ahhahahhhaaaa oh man, I almost forgot about this XD
Anyways, I’ll give it a shot:
Vero stood in the shade, as her pale skin did not quite appreciate the sun. Gealltannis sat idly in the grass across from her. They had been chatting for a while now, when Vero had suddenly decided to stand.
"You leavin’ already?" Gealltannis asked. Vero could tell from the look on her face she was a little disappointed.
"No. I uh, I got something to ask ya." At this Vero squatted, so she was more at eye-level with Gealltannis. Gealltannis smiled, and rolled onto her side so she was facing Vero.
"Shoot." Vero gulped. The topic she was about to introduce unsettled her, its discovery leaving a shaky, static feeling in her. "How much do you remember?" She asked. She stared at her feet, unable to meet Gealltannis’ gaze.
"Could you be a little more specific?" Gealltannis said flatly, sounded a little irritated. Vero rolled her eyes and sighed. "About everything! The past, the wars, your realm-"
"Ok ok!!" Gealltannis was on her feet now, looking more hurt than angry. Vero stood up slowly, not saying anything. "Why do you care about this so suddenly? What, slim pickings or something? Scared away all the mortals-"
"That’s enough!" Vero snapped. She was not normally this calm. Usually she would be throwing insults right back at her opposition, but this was different. It was a more delicate operation. And besides, for once, this was not for her. It was for Gealltannis. Speaking of, Gealltannis clutched her arms, looking nervous. This was a sensitive topic, as Vero understood, but she wanted to be rid of its haunting presence in the back of her mind as soon as possible.
"I found something. And, I thought you should know. If you wanted to, that is." There was silence for a while. Gealltannis drew a shaky breath."I don’t know if….I wanna re-live that stuff just yet," Vero nodded. She reached into her coat and fished around in her pockets for something. Gealltannis kept talking while Vero searched, weighing out the decision aloud. Vero interrupted her. In her outstretched hand, she held what looked like a very large, purplish pearl. It was about the size of her palm, and thin, black wisps swirled around inside it. Few others had managed to catch a glimpse of these, as they were the small orbs Vero stored her information in. She had a pile of them back in her realm, large enough for her roll around or sleep in, as she had done on several occassions.
Gealltannis took a few steps towards her, admiring the orb with curiosity. “Now, I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing, but I do know, that this is yours.” She held out the orb again, stretching her arm even further. Gealltannis took it, holding it delicately in her hands. "What’s the catch?" She said. Vero chuckled and Gealltannis smiled."This may be the one and only time I say this but: no catch." Vero took a few steps towards Gealltannis. "It’s there if you want it." She said, trying her best to be reassuring. "If not, I’ll add it to the collection." She shrugged.

Durrr, cliffhanger ending XD
I hope I didn’t stray from GT’s character too much (if i did im so sorry ;___;) kinda why I didn’t write a definite ending, ‘cause I wasn’t sure how badly she would want to know, so I guess the rest is up to you ^^
(List is here if anyone else wants to send me a prompt: http://ivoruvero.tumblr.com/post/85987894747/list-of-drabble-prompts#notes )
I've been fiddling with Gealltannis's backstory , and the hows and whys of some things about her. So Here it his, the story of how Gealltannis became the god she is now. There are references to other gods within this story- though only Pathos is named (with Kipper's permission), if you think your god would fit a role in Geal's backstory let me know cos that would be awesome. c:
Long ago, when the world was still quite young, the gods sat around a communal fire telling stories to pass the time. The gathered gods offered a contest; whoever told the most detailed story would win a collection of mystical items the gods had brought to show off.
Each god wove their story, the tales grew in length and splendor by turn. Finally the goddess Pathos stood and began her tale. She wove a tale of a being who did not exist, a creature of woodlands and mist, starlight and the wild wind. A being Immortal as a god and yet earthly in it's actions. As the goddess spoke of this being and told of it's adventures, elsewhere in the hollow of a Willow tree Gealltannis was born.
Newborn into the world the crafted deity had no notion of what she should do or where she should be. She was born simple and sweet and endlessly curious about the world. Pathos found her first, feeling responsible for her creation she wished Gealltannis to return with her to her realm. However Gealltannis begged to remain upon the earth , wishing instead to wander the wildlands of the planet. Though Pathos worried, she relented to her creation's desire for freedom. As she explored the realms Gealltannis frequently came in contact with humans and other roaming gods. She very quickly found that by being near mortals for an extended amount of time caused them to change. Humans who chose to follow her became immortal faeries. As the ages passed the number and variety of her subjects grew vast. These faerie troops, sharing their Queen's wanderlust would travel throughout the land independently of Gealltannis, only coming together enmass twice a year to hold court and celebrate.
As her people became more numerous, the mortals began to fear her and her kind. Though they were not as potent as their Queen, the fae were still capable of transforming mortals into more of their own. They found that the easiest to change were the youngest, most impressionable mortals.
Naturally the mortals did not want their children to be taken by strange beings, so they began to imagine ways to hurt the otherwise undying Fae, and to the Faerie's surprise these tactics worked. Iron which they were once able to wield and work burned them like acid, certain herbs and signs which before held no meaning were found to repel them, and the sun which they used to dance under now burned them and made them weary.
Even with these limitations their numbers still grew. The gods began to worry that she- the false god, was plotting to change all the mortals into faeries. Thus taking their worshippers from them. This caused tensions among the gods, and wherever she went Gealltannis encountered fear, hostility, and doubt.
There were some among the gods who fought for her acceptance, defended her before the other deities and offered her assistance when she needed it.
Others wished for her banishment, from the mortal and godly realms. Declaring her a danger to herself and others, for if she was capable of changing mortals who was to say she could not change gods?
Still others sought her death, seeing her as a manipulator and a being who wished nothing but the destruction of the mortals and dissolution of the pantheon.
Before long fighting began to break out amongst her subjects and the mortals. The mortals would pray to their warrior gods for help slaying the monstrous beasts who now lurked in the shadows. The more they prayed the more the gods listened, pushing Gealltannis and the protective gods ever closer to open conflict.
War was in the air, and she feared what that would mean for her people. What would happen to them should she be slain? Many of them had lived well past a normal human lifespan. Would they too need to die in order to assure peace? Gealltannis wished to keep her subjects safe from any further conflict. She understood the concept of why she was being shunned, but could think of no way to cease her effect upon the mortals. She did not want to leave the Earth. She had become fond of her home and though her creator had offered her a home within her realm , Gealltannis would not abandon her subjects to save herself.
On the next solstice, she and her people were to gather together in their winter celebration. Shortly before that time a group of hunters attacked a party of fae on their way to the gathering. They tortured and slaughtered all those they caught. Gealltannis felt the fear and pain of the butchered fae and flew into a rage. She hunted the men who killed her people, dragged them from their homes and returned to them, and any mortal who got in her way exactly what they had delivered to her people. When the last soul who had raised a hand to harm her people had been relieved from it's body she stood among the shattered remains of a village. She fled with her kin, the gods who protected those men swearing vengeance against her.
She hid her people as best she could, teaching them how to walk unseen by gods and men. It was not enough though. The hunters proved too adept at tracking their prey and people -fae and mortal, continued to die. Pushed to the edges of the world Gealltannis turned to those gods who were left that still cared for her. She came to them afraid and haunted, pleading for their aid, swearing to any bargain that they would offer her. The gods proved powerful allies.
They agreed to help her craft a realm of her own to dwell in, somewhere safe for her people to call home.On the stipulation that she would go with her people as well, and that she would never leave. All of this was written in a book which Gealltannis cannot touch. She agreed, adding the stipulation that no other god may enter her realm without her invitation, when the other gods turned their back she whispered to a friend of her's to write in that she could leave so long as she was invited by the another god.
The gods who pursued her kind were not satisfied with this arrangement and demanded blood. They threatened to destroy the infant realm Gealltannis's allies were creating if she did not surrender.
The First fae would not let her work be undone, and seeing no way to avoid them further, challenged the hunter to a duel. The god accepted her challenge and met her in combat. Gealltannis was far outmatched and suffered grievous wounds from her opponent. Before the go delivered the killing blow however she cast a curse upon them. The details of this curse, and even whom it was laid upon have been forgotten.
Many things from that time, details about Gealltannis and her realm have been obscured and destroyed. Few gods remember who was a part of the original conflict, most do not even remember there being a conflict to begin with. The book that details such things is lost or stolen.
Evil!Nandi (who is more lonely than truly evil) probably would be very intrigued by Gealltannis, since I assume fae psychology is completely different from mortal psychology. So if Gealltannis doesn't have any regret, that might interest Evil!Nandi, who might want to interact with someone who could theoretically be their equal or higher. Though at the same time, it might also frighten them, since they wouldn't have power over her. In any case, Nandi is desperate for someone to talk to.
Aggh your god is so coool *flails a little* Although at present canon for Geal I don’t think they would be able to interact face to face. Since Nandi doesn’t leave their realm and Gealtannis cant leave hers, it would be more likely for Nandi to interact with one of Geal’s subjects than with her directly- especially the newer ones, since those humans just turned still sometimes cling to their old lives. As such Nandi may have pulled subjects of Geal’s into their realm. Which may cause friction between them at first until Gealltannis realizes it wasn’t done out of spite. She would likely converse with Nandi when it suited the god of regret after that.
As for whether or not Nandi has power over Gealltannis that is a really interesting line of thought??? that I never thought about ??
There are things that Geal has been through that I would say would cause someone to regret, but I don’t think she does? In the basest sense to regret something you have to feel like you were capable of changing the outcome, or that you lost out on an opportunity and see these as things that have been in the past and are beyond your ability to alter. Gealltannis gets mad about things, remembers slights and plots vengeance. But I don’t think she is capable of regret. to her everything that happens is still in motion and even old things can be changed.
I feel like they would spend time speaking of the idea of regret and sorrow itself, and how they affect gods and mortals.
I think Siael would be very interested in Gealltannis' concept if existing through belief, along with her minions. They might become good friends, I think.
Due to Siael’s domain I feel they would either be close allies or enemies - or both depending on the situation at hand. Gealltannis does offer asylum for unloved and lost mortals (mostly children) as well, but i get the feeling that Siael wouldn’t like the fine print that goes along with it( the whole turning into faeries thing). So they do share concerns when it comes to innocents who need help, but at the same time i feel they could butt heads on occasion :) Overall though I think Gealltannis likes him, she finds him to be an interesting god with a lot in common with her and as such he likely has a standing invitation to her realm so he may come and go as he pleases.
