We are thrilled to announce that True Respite stalwart Steve Moore (@smoore49) has joined the Ownership Team and is taking over as Head of Retail Operations! Steve first joined the brewery as a part-time Beertender the week before we opened our doors in April 2018. He was hired essentially on the spot as he showed up to the interview with a notebook and a pen, feverishly taking notes and asking great questions about the brewing process, the equipment, and our plan for the brand. As we quickly came to learn, however, Steve's greatest strength is his passion for customer engagement. His drive to create unique experiences with the mission to connect our customers with the our brand and our community are second to none. His first major project was the development of our intensive Grain To Glass tour and tasting program. This program was one of the most comprehensive and engaging brewery tour programs in the state, connecting the sourcing of our materials and our brewing processes to the flavors and aromas found in our finished products. As COVID hit, he took the opportunity to transition the program into our now widely enjoyed Chocolate & Beer Pairings (co-hosted by outstanding local chocolatier @the_chocolatiers_palette) hosted monthly on Zoom. When we asked Steve to begin developing outside business relationships and finding creative ways to use our Mobile Tap Room (our unique 8-tap refrigerated beer trailer), Steve came back to us with the opportunity to be the exclusive beer partner for to the @mdbobcatsfc. He has since championed our Mobile Tap Room, building relationships and finding new and interesting ways to serve and engage with our community. The shining example of this effort was our co-sponsorship of the Gaithersburg Oktoberfest in the Kentlands this past weekend. We've been incredibly fortunate to have Steve as a team member through all that the past 4.5 years has brought us and we're even luckier that he has now joined the Ownership Team ready to lead us into the next phase.
