𝙸𝙽𝙲𝙾𝙼𝙸𝙽𝙶  𝚃𝚁𝙰𝙽𝚂𝙼𝙸𝚂𝚂𝙸𝙾𝙽  .  .  .     ᏀᎬᎢ ᎢᏫ ᏦNᏫᎳ ᎢᎻᎬ ᎷᏌN. ↦   𝑨𝑪𝑪𝑬𝑷𝑻𝑰𝑵𝑮 !     𝚂𝙾𝚄𝚁𝙲𝙴 𝚂𝚈𝚂𝚃𝙴𝙼 :  @geislun​​

   𝑩𝑬𝑯𝑰𝑵𝑫 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑴𝑨𝑺𝑲.               for  a  while,  the  only  characters  i  wrote  were  original  characters.  and  i  had  a  lot  of  fun  with  them.  but  i’ve  been  writing  canon  characters  now  for  a  while.         i  would  eventually  like  to  take  a  stab  at  developing  an  original  character,  even  if  it  takes  place  in  a  fandom  which  already  exists.         i  actually  am  really  interested  in  making  an  original  character  who  is  a  member  of   THE   DARK  BROTHERHOOD  ( elder  scrolls )  so  maybe  i  will  at  some  point  in  time !    right  now  though,  i  am  content  with  just  me,  myself  and  buck.    

     oh  jeez,  how  about  just  a  ton  of  patience ?  my  blog  runs  mostly  on  a  queue  and  with  my  work  schedule  being  as  it  is,       i  am  rarely  able  to  log  on  during  the  week.  not  only  that,     but  because  of  the  workload    -    i  am  often  extremely  exhausted  and  take  a  long  time  to  respond  to  IMs  /  messages  -  so  also  some  understanding.   apart  from  that  though,    just  some  ideas  and  excitement    -    and  kindness  of  course.  ;3  i  don’t  really  have  a  lot  of  rules  that  i  need  people  to  follow        ;;        it  is  mostly  just  understanding  that  i  come  in  &&  out  a  lot.      

     watching  the  winter  soldier  never  fails  to  provide  me  the  inspiration  i  need.  that  movie  will  never  get  old.  it  is  ( imo ) the  best  mcu  movie  of  all  time.   a  simple  yet  entertaining  plot,  subtle  yet  powerful  character  development,  exciting  action  &&  fight  choreography  -  hell,  down  to  even  the  freaking  soundtrack.       everything  about  that  movie  is  gold.     if  my  muse  is  being  a  little  too  quiet,  i  just  have  to  re - watch  tws  again  and  he  is  loud  once  more  inside  my  head.

     in  terms  of  writing  inspiration,  i  draw  a  lot  of  inspiration  from  music.  when  i  write,  i  prefer  to  do  it  with  a  lot  of  noise  all  around  me  -  so  either  really  loud  music  or  in  a  busy  environment.  i  like  to  listen  to  cinema  /  music  compositions,  a  lot  of  movie  /  tv  osts.  zack  hemsey,  steve  jablonsky,  hans  zimmer,  ramin  djawadi,  klayton  albert,  the  glitch  mob  etc.  ca : tws  soundtrack  like  i  mentioned  is  wonderful,  so  i  can  always  turn  that  on  and  find  inspiration.  i  listen  to  the  game  of  thrones  soundtrack  a  lot  because  -  ugh,  it  is  so  wonderful  and  powerful.  just  listen  to  the  bells,  good  glory.        &&  OF  COURSE,     the  second  voice  inside  my  head,     my  kindred  spirit  and  GOD    -  trent  reznor.    NIN  drives  this  blog,  let’s  be  honest.    trent’s  music  encompasses  everything  buck  has  suffered  and  endured.  the  corruption  of  politics,  brainwashing,  deeply  rooted  depression,  the  loss  /  lack  of  identity,  white  noise  -  white  noise,  violence ...  the  music  resonates  so  deeply,    to  both  mun  &&  muse.        this  blog  draws  so  much  inspiration  from  his  music.      

     my  greatest  inspiration  though  comes  from  my  partners,  my  friends.       when  i  get  someone  in  my  inbox  or  my  im  who  gets  excited  about  my  writing  or  by  a  response,  it  just  makes  me  want  to  write  more.        &&  when  i  get  a  reply  back,  the  excitement  that  soars  through  me  is  such  a  wonderful  boost.             it  is  like  receiving  a  present,  a  little  gift  just  for  me  -  and  it  always  makes  me  eager  to  reply  back.        i  truly  am  inspired  by  my  writing  partners,     by  their  enthusiasm  and  talent  and  their  excitement  to  write  with  me  and  my  buck.       that  is  where  the  majority  of  my  inspiration  comes  from  -  in  sharing  this  intimate  experience  with  other  people  who  enjoy  doing  this  as  much  as  i  do.

BETTY WAS STRANDED AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY when it happened. shock settled over her like a weighted blanket. ( she wasn’t one to cry in the face of tragedy. ) pressed into the corner of her office, sheltered by the superficial comfort of two walls, she waited–––––––to wake up, to be found, or to vanish into nothingness herself. it was difficult to say. a chorus of screams and screaming sirens rose from the street level to her office window. she buried her face in her hands, pressing into her eyes until she saw stars. still, the nightmare continued. 

after some time, it became evident that there would be no savior and no relent. the girl’s ashes remained in a pile on the other side of her desk. undisturbed. unanimated. unmarked by a headstone. HER OFFICE WAS A CEMETARY NOW but betty wasn’t dying. perhaps she was a ghost left to haunt. she detested being the last one standing. 

betty reached for a pad of lined paper and a pen despite herself. her hands trembled all the while, but if she didn’t act now, she feared her body would seize up. she wrote a letter, as she did time and time before. the letters were all jagged edges and scratch-outs and typos. 

❛  DEAR BRUCE,  

the world has ended. i looked out the window. the streets are lined in collision after collision; the cars look like crushed soda cans. how many people died in the accidents? how many vanished? people say that the trains have shut down, that there were track collisions, too. more death. cellphones can’t get a signal. wifi is spotty at best. as I sit here in my office, i hear students crying in the quad . no, they’re wailing in grief. they’re too young for that, far too young. 

I held my lab technician’s ashes in my hands. ALISHA MARQUETTE, a bright girl interested in studying radiology from a physics perspective. she was going to intern with me over the summer. to watch her vanish into nothing, my first thought was her parents. I want to write it down now so that I can tell them what happened. it’s my duty to MEMORIALIZE her. or maybe her parents are gone as well, blown in fragments to the wind. which is worse? I can’t tell. 

( where have they vanished to? if anyone was to know, it would be you. i figured it would be worth the ask. )

MY LOGIC IS GONE. still waiting for it to come back. it’s only been an hour. i know i’m impatient but that’s the scariest part. there’s nothing to explain this. i draw up everything i’ve ever studied, everything i’ve ever heard of through the grapevine, from conspiracy theory enthusiasts––––and i’m blank. 

welcome to the twilight zone. i’ve never wanted to live in the twilight zone. 

now we arrive at the dreaded question: ARE YOU ALIVE? you’ve always been a constant in my life; we orbit one another, trapped in each other’s gravity. the logic, then, is simple––––if i’m still alive, you must be as well. or perhaps i simply lack the imagination to picture a universe without you in it. regardless, you cannot tell me, can you? imagining this nightmare in terms of infrastructure, mail services will be down for a short eternity. travel, too. ❜

a series of rapid footfall and frantic voices. betty looked up from her work just as her door swung open. she was face to face with a disheveled student. student red cross, he explained. they were looking for volunteers. betty told him she’d only be another moment.

❛  the students on campus are organizing medical aid in response. i’m hardly qualified, but i’m going to help as best i can. best to keep moving. i’ll be waiting for your answer, of course. still live in the same apartment, the p.o. box is still secure. please don’t be gone.

[ ϟ ]—– Freedom was an illusion.

 A carefully crafted and exquisite building, despite its splendor, could not distract from this, that freedom, in the true sense of the word, was not present here. 

Its inhabitants were not chained nor locked away, and whatever devices had been placed within its walls and gates were meant to protect, to shield and harbor, from outside forces and outside interest. Built to withstand what was roaming beyond the steel and metal, built to shelter yet feeling like an overly tight, unyielding armor of cement and iron.

A home and training facility both, or so Stark had ensured, the words not something the god would use for what was now theirs to have.

Within its confines they had moved and conversed, dialogues between them interrupted by monologues of those who wished to convey the urgency, the importance, counter-arguments made in a mildly heated fashion by those who had read between the lines, unnerved by the implications. Standing amidst the group  the feeling of disconnect within the Asgardian grew, festering and rising from the depths where camaraderie and shared purpose had managed to cover it for quite some time.

In the end there was silence, and solemn contemplation, and the dawning of thoughts of conscription, of impressment and surges of disdain ruled the thunderer’s mind, at the forefront of it all concern and confusion of what the future will hold.

Freedom was an illusion, yet a gust of wind fluttering against the skin felt almost just as comforting, crisp air sliced by the god’s limbs swaying during his advance towards the northern side of the grounds. There the trees had been allowed to remain, untouched by the workings of men and undisturbed by Stark’s grand design, obscuring patches of more land and rock-line formations.

A desolate place of heavy silence and nigh palpable solitude, unappealing to many yet a shelter to one.

‘ Doctor...’

Voice rumbles, word uttered in something barely above a mutter, and he halts in the small clearing, illuminated by the sparse light the canopies of the trees allowed to reach him. [ @geislun ]

[ ϟ ] —– Fleeting had his delight been, annoyance as swiftly rising as the arching of blond brow. Indignant huff is expelled into the air, and languidly does massive form stiffen whilst arms are folded upon the god’s chest.

‘ Unhand it, right now.’

Within deep rumbling bass there is a sliver of a threat, an undercurrent resembling a growl as eyes are then narrowed at the other.
