The music equipment that used in Gekbreng is a set of Gamelan orchestra which is consisted of: (1) Kendang; (2) Sundanese Trumpet; (3) Ketuk Tilu; (4) Rebab (two-stringed musical instrument); (5) Rincik; and (6) Gong.
The clothing that used by the player of Gekbreng is divided into two part, Its Keplok cendol dancer and Ketuk tilu dancer. The Keplok cendol dancer is wearing a short-hand kebaya, batik fabric, and shawl. Whereas, the Ketuk tilu dancer is wearing short-hand kebaya, batik fabric, pangsi pants, and shawl that sometimes twisted around the waist. Meanwhile, the others are wearing a cloth that they usually wear in their daily life, such as shirt or singlet and pants.
At the beginning, the Gekbreng started with traditional overture and then continue with wawayangan, that is the first performances dance which did by the whole ronggeng (woman dancer). After wawayangan, continue with a performance from the keplok cendol.
The number of the member of the Traditional Art Show of Gekbreng at the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi is 11 men and 1 woman (9 musicians, 2 comedians (Onyon and Lanoy) and 1 Keplok cendol)
