Today was my last day at Puerto Rican History class...and it was...oh wow.
My Profesor ended the lesson, and she decided to say a few words...It was a bit weird because, usually, when you are in university, the last day consists of the last leson and the professor says something to the sorts of 'Well, it was nice to have had you as my students, have a nice summer!' and everyone just leaves and that's that...
But, with this professor, when she started her words and the things she said...they were all inspiring...and, well, her voice suddenly cracked, and we all ended up crying and then we didn't want to leave. I don't think feeling that way has happened since high school.
It's just that she cared, she would learn your name the first weeks so she would know who you were, not just some number on the university file. And she was a great professor. She knows so much and has been to so many places and experienced so many things...I could have been amazingly sick, and STILL wanted to get up to just sit in her class.
What she said was also everything I kind of needed to hear as well, and it was all just...ugh.
I guess the fact that half of my working peers/best friends are also leaving this year in a transfer to other schools because they are actually from engineering and have to transfer, kind of has me a bit sad as well.
It has all been bitter sweet...and I will probably go through it again tomorrow because my Puerto Rican history prof. is also my World History prof. and if she does the same thing again I think imma die from overload of feels.
