Oh, guys, I feel I should apologies again. I am not doing well recently and I just can't find the time and ambition to draw as easily. Times have been rough. I'm getting through it, though! Thanks for tolerating the slower updates meanwhile!
Hi everyone, Wildtiel here, mod for Ask Manehattan Babs. First of all, I would like to deeply apologies to everyone who was super invested in the story arc of this blog. The decision to end the story was not easily made. In the end, though, I believe it’s for the best. I jumped head first into the story without any sort of idea where to take it in mind. I have run myself into a dead end, and found myself forcing myself to write for a story I just don't really care about anymore. Each update felt forced and I ended up hating every post I put out by the time they were ready to be published. If the story continued, I probably would have abandoned the blog. However, please take note. I AM NOT CLOSING THE BLOG. I am very much looking forward to going back to Ask Manehattan Babs’ roots and reopening it as an ask blog. This will give me a chance to decide which direction to take the blog from here. It will not stay solely an ask blog forever. I have new story material as of this latest episode from Season 5. I cannot wait to delve into the story behind Babs’ cutie mark, and how her friends, and bullies, react. Lots of exciting things to cover! So please forgive me for doing this. Updates will continue at a regular pace as I continuously shine a light into the daily lives of Babs and her friends in Manehattan!
Oh, I'll make it happen! It makes me so happy that so many people like Gem. Creating a character that is directly related to a canon character is generally a nono unless done right. And I guess Gem was done right! Plus she's still my favorite to draw =P Oh, and if anyone feels like vectoring these for me, that would be friggin' sweet. I'd very much appreciate it!
Gem works in the marketing of Apples (and I mean the fruit, not the over-priced computers). It's not nearly as exciting as it seems. I do love seeing ponies doing slice of life, mundane tasks, though. Commission from Left2Fail, who draws super, super cute ponies in a style that I love. Thank you so much! I decided to color one of the sketches of Gem from the last update. One thing that I didn't have of her up until now is a color image with her cutie mark. I am so in love with this character. I know it's Ask Manehattan Babs, but I'm sure ya'll wouldn't mind if Gem became a more permanent character than I was originally planning, would you?
