Hi everyone! It's the mod from Ask Manehattan Babs! I hope you all still remember me! Hey listen, I'd really just like to thank all of you for standing by for these past weeks. I hit the reset button on this blog, intending to start regular updates again, and then...life happened... What happened precisely? Well, nothing terrible, first of all. I had to finish an AWFUL semester of college, and work had been pretty busy during those weeks. Then I got sick and was laid up for a while, plus I was dealing with some turmoil in one the friend groups... I just couldn't find the time, or the will to draw most of the time, and when I did, I have been working on the art for the upcoming Chicago MLP convention Whinny City Pony Con! Check us out at this link! All things aside, though...I passed all my classes, work has settled down again, and I am feeling much happier and have more free time to draw, so I should be back to normal updates at this time! So, thank you so much for the patients! Let’s dust off this little ol' blog and get to some new stuff!
Hi everyone, Wildtiel here, mod for Ask Manehattan Babs. First of all, I would like to deeply apologies to everyone who was super invested in the story arc of this blog. The decision to end the story was not easily made. In the end, though, I believe it’s for the best. I jumped head first into the story without any sort of idea where to take it in mind. I have run myself into a dead end, and found myself forcing myself to write for a story I just don't really care about anymore. Each update felt forced and I ended up hating every post I put out by the time they were ready to be published. If the story continued, I probably would have abandoned the blog. However, please take note. I AM NOT CLOSING THE BLOG. I am very much looking forward to going back to Ask Manehattan Babs’ roots and reopening it as an ask blog. This will give me a chance to decide which direction to take the blog from here. It will not stay solely an ask blog forever. I have new story material as of this latest episode from Season 5. I cannot wait to delve into the story behind Babs’ cutie mark, and how her friends, and bullies, react. Lots of exciting things to cover! So please forgive me for doing this. Updates will continue at a regular pace as I continuously shine a light into the daily lives of Babs and her friends in Manehattan!
I didn't mean to appear threatening if it was at all me too just to clarify, but sorry if I was. Also, sorry to hear about any other threatening messages you may have gotten or seen, you don't deserve stuff like that sort of stuff. Keep up the good work on the blog and amazing art as always.

Sent a link to the canon cutiemark for Babs as shown in the episode as a reply to your latest post, the idea is it's scissors with the handle looking like an apple, hence the red and the green.
Thank you! Somebody simultaneously told me on Deviantart. I only get the episode in standard definition when it first comes out, so I totally missed it. The “Artist’s rendition” of the mark will remain on this pic, but I’ll vector and use the proper one for all future updates.

Oh, I'll make it happen! It makes me so happy that so many people like Gem. Creating a character that is directly related to a canon character is generally a nono unless done right. And I guess Gem was done right! Plus she's still my favorite to draw =P Oh, and if anyone feels like vectoring these for me, that would be friggin' sweet. I'd very much appreciate it!

So, I have to apologise, once again, for the lack of AMB updates as of recently. I have been super, super busy and, to be quite honest, I have been getting a little weary with the current story arc. I really miss answering the silly asks that don't have to relate to anything. So here's the deal... Before ya'll begin freaking out, yes the current story arc will continue. However, they are incredibly time consuming and will be rather spaced out. (I'm slow at digital art, okay?) Between story updates, however, I will now begin posting legacy pencil-drawn mini-updates to keep the blog more active. Main story comics will continue to be in color. These posts will be tagged with 'Tomfoolery'. All main story arc posts will be tagged with 'StoryArc'. Thanks everyone for your continued support! Love ya! New main arc comic should be finished in the next day or so.

Gem works in the marketing of Apples (and I mean the fruit, not the over-priced computers). It’s not nearly as exciting as it seems. I do love seeing ponies doing slice of life, mundane tasks, though.

First color, now backgrounds! This blog has really grown up since its start, hasn't it! Real quick guys, I want to have a quick, serious discussion. Now, it's nothing too serious, or anything, but time for me has become a serious issue. I started a semester of college that is gearing up to be super difficult and it's already stealing a bunch of my time. So, what does this mean for Ask Manehattan Babs? Oh, not much. Just expect updates to be spaced a little further apart for a few months while I'm getting my education =D. Thanks for understanding! Love you guys!
