Gemanimate 3!

This was the last re-animate I participated in and it’s finally out! It’s the third Steven Universe re-animate project and the second one I got to participate in. It recreates a musical sequence from the episode “Reunited”. I used Kirby’s Dreamland 2 on the Gameboy as reference to animate it and I’m really happy with how it turned out!

Shot assignments sent out!

Shot assignments have been sent out to the chosen animators! If you received an acceptance email but not a shot assignment, please get in touch.  Thanks!

✿ Gemanimate 3 ✿ Acceptances Sent ✿

After an overwhelming and brilliant application period our chosen animators have been selected! All accepted animators have been emailed.  We had a total of 255 applications for only 48 spots. Unfortunately, we could not accomodate everyone and the choice was ridiculously hard. We went through about 5 rounds of cuts! You guys are amazingly talented. 

If you did not receive an email, it means you have not been selected for this round of Gemanimate 3. Shots may open up in the future if there are drop outs and a call for animators will be posted and filled on a first come first served basis.  What’s next? Shot assignments will go out to chosen animators over the next few days and they have until 14th October to reanimate their shots. Follow along over the next couple of months to see their progress! An immense thank you to everyone who applied and supports this project! I can’t wait to see what comes in the next couple of months!
