Hello! Unsure if anyone is still looking at the blog but is it possible to watch gemanimate 2 anywhere? The YouTube and Vimeo links are both down now. I also totally get it if this isnāt an option, but would it be viable for someone to send the file if it canāt be posted anywhere? Iām not looking to post it or use any of the art, the video was just so foundational to little me and if at all possible Iād like to see it again. All will be well if not though :] thanks!

Yes, unfortunately, it was due to copyright. However, we now have the entire trilogy available on Google Drive until we can find a better solution!

Hello. I saw that the Gemanimate 2 had removed from both vimeo and youtube. So can you post it in Steven Universe subreddit. Will it get copyright strikes there?
I've personally never used Reddit, so I am unsure if that would be a doable workaround; however, I will look into it. If any Reddit users have any insights, please leave a comment and let me know!

As I'm sure you're aware, Gemanimate 2 has been removed from every platform that it was posted on due to complaints by Warner Bros. I didn't know about this project until after Gemanimate 2 was unavailable, is there an alternate way for me to view it? (ie. could you post a download somewhere?)

I apologize for the delay in providing this solution. Hopefully, this will work for people since Gemanimate 2 received a DMCA takedown. I would hate for everyone's hard work to go unseen. Hopefully, one day there will be a better solution to distributing Gem Animate online.
Is there gonna be a gemanimate 4?
With this being the final night of Pride month I'd like to take the opportunity to respond to at least one of the asks regarding Gemanimate 4:
Currently, there is one person from the previous coordinator crew that could continue the Gemanimate series (me) and they would really love to!! Plans have been made - it's only a matter of setting them into action.
I'm entering my last year of college and have been extraordinarily busy so I've not had the time to give to Gemanimate. I apologize for that.
I intend to gauge interest for a fourth installment before making a final decision and if there's still a dedicated community interested in continuing Gemanimate - there will be a fourth!
As soon as I've cleared a bit of my schedule I'd like to scout for additional coordinators + mods so that a theoretical Gemanimate 4 could be produced as smoothly as possible without any hiatuses or miscommunications. Until then, feel free to continue sending asks.
And - if you're experienced with coordinating (zines, multi-animator projects, reanimates, etc.) - please get in touch or keep an eye out for future posts!

Gemanimate 3 is finally out, and the final result is absolutely lovely ! Iām very happy and grateful I could be part of the adventure again. :D
Here youāll find visuals I used for my shot. At first I went full CGI, using fractals in Mandelbulb to make the soil and aiming for an intriguing and experimental look. Sadly, I got a fatal crash late during the process and lost all my work, only a few screenshots could be recovered.Ā
To meet the deadlines, I had to turn to 2D and After Effects, but still generated the textures in Substance Painter for the final visual. I also crafted a puppet Steven, but next time I might go for real paper craft, it carries a better feeling :) Still, Iām very happy with my shot considering the circonstances back then !

Gemanimate 3!
This was the last re-animate I participated in and itās finally out! Itās the third Steven Universe re-animate project and the second one I got to participate in. It recreates a musical sequence from the episodeĀ āReunitedā. I used Kirbyās Dreamland 2 on the Gameboy as reference to animate it and Iām really happy with how it turned out!
