Investing in the future is what the UAE is good at - from people to projects. In 2012 while I was working for Masdar, we had launched Gemasolar, a 19.9 megawatt concentrated solar power plant using molten salt storage. I remember that day clearly and today Solar impulse (the fully solar powered plane) is making its way back to the UAE. The picture here was taken a couple of days ago where solar impulse is seen soaring over Gemasolar - two iconic solar structures powered solely by the sun to generate its own power makes me even prouder to be a part of this country, this project and and this mission.
