2 potential spinel corruption designs: 1- "cloudy" since her gem is cloudy. Produces rain that creates a bunch of violent plant life and lightning. 2- "thornstar" seemingly a plant but gas a sharp vine that grabs prey. Has gems bubbled inside like the big bird.

Gem corruption entry! (Because I’ll be out of town on the actual date)
How each got corrupted: Clear quartz: corrupted during the corruption blast.
Alexandrite: corrupted as a punishment. Forced to fuse with. A corrupted gem by yellow diamond.
Pink tourmaline: fused with her former friend on Homeworld watermelon tourmaline (puffer fish) in an attempt to save her. After the corrupted watermelon tourmaline freaked out and unfused, pink tourmaline quickly corrupted into a pink storm cloud.
(Man, I’ve been meaning to finish this one for a while. It took a bit to figure out how these Gemsonas would look corrupted).
After the six were found out by Viola and captured, they suffered a fate similar to Cy & Avent, but worse. Another theory of Aiden's, was to see if he could control Gems that were still intact, it was called, "Project Degen". So, the Gems were corrupt, but unlike regular gem corruptions, the six were still gems instead of mindless creatures, and unlike Cy & Avent, the Virgo Gems' gemstones were still intact.
After Shukai's defeat, and Cy & Avent could finally rest, Aiden sent in the corrupted Virgo Gems to fight Ione, who was recently reunited with Emeril & Magnus on Earth, and it wasnt that long after he first met Jin.
The team's weaponry & abilities are mostly the same, with a few changes in some cases. Caius' Mace was a chained one instead. Tsuko & Tsuki's weapons were Sasumatas, and Kori's Tonfa's were two blades.
The six were strong foes, but Ione and the rest managed to bubble them, and later, turn them back. Emeril defeated corrupted Gan. Magnus defeated Caius. Maralyn defeated Kori. Jin defeated Spyn. Tsuko & Tsuki were the toughest ones to defeat, it took Ione & Maralyn fusing, and a sneak attack from Jin, to defeat them.
Amber corruption headcannon
Ambers corrupt Into giant sap forms of what is in their gem. For example, a butterfly Amber would be a giant sap butterfly with the outline of the uncorrupted form inside (akin to what the bug was doing inside the gem before corruption
