i honestly prefer his design based on ep2 so i might tweak ep3 later. but YEAH what if VRV characters were gems actually. I have a chart

(this ask was about gemVRV btw) OK. HERES THE MASSIVELY UNFINISHED, MESSY, BARELY LEGIBLE CHART <3

Gordon B = Sunstone (gem is shaped like half of a heart, to match with Azurite)

Freeman = Moonstone (i didnt mean to make them matching like that BUT i think the B&Freeman duo is underappreciated so its ok)

Doc = Torbernite (uranium deposit!)

Swap = Crysocolla (? still undecided)

Player = Rhodonite

Malcom = Bixbite (which is an antiquated name for red beryl, but "Bixbite" feels more Malcom-y)

Capital M = Red Jade (taps the red belt buckle on my ep2 Rubellite drawing. gem is one of vils horns!)

Neo = Harlequin Opal

Spork = Almandine (a type of garnet abundant in Sri Lanka, and Spork is Sri Lankan! thought that was cool. gem on forehead! im still workshopping the shape tho)

Leading Light = Rubellite (youve seen him! the only fully designed one so far lol)

Storyteller = Turquoise (gem behind ear like his pen!)

Hypno = Alexandrite (i think the purple/green thing is fitting. gem on eye)

Mailman = Azurite (the other half of the heart <3)

Admin C = Cymophane (i wrote Chrysoberyl Cats Eye on the chart but thats the same thing)

Da Boss = Tanzanite

Sleepless = Taaffeite

Music Guru = Green Beryl (green beryl is different from emerald due to the colour difference. green beryl isnt vibrant enough to be considered emerald </3 theyre basically the same though like. materially. so is bixbite/red beryl. its just colour difference!)

Loverboy = Padparadscha

fusions:

Sunstone + Torbernite = Unakite

Sunstone + Rubellite = Sphalerite (name comes from the greek "sphaleros" meaning deceiving. smiles. im insane about these two. SCREAMS LOUD.)

Sunstone + Padparadscha = Morganite (also a beryl! theres a lot of beryls in da world)

Torbernite + [Seven] = Diaspore

Alexandrite + [Overlord] = Onyx (this was picked by @lycanthropic-dreamer!)

Taaffeite + Cymophane = Ametrine (i think this was also picked by Aspen! (now that im thinking about it Turquoise was also chosen by it as well LOL))
