Asked Darren for a "Darren doesn't know" picture. He was like "what does that even mean?" I'm gonna die! Can't wait for the pic!!
I'm on the train! Once again I am so proud of myself that I was able to get to the train station! Baby steps! Of course I pick the car with the loud Spanish speaking family with a crying young child... (Nothing against them but I wanted a quiet ride)
I should go to bed. Gotta get up and get prettified for Darren's last Hedwig show tomorrow. But I'm too excited (and anxious) to sleep!!!
Hedwig was awesome!!! It downpoured at stage door! We ended up on the other side of the door, not under the covering. So Darren being the great guy he is, turned right instead of left and signed our side first since we all were standing in the rain! It was very quick. I think he wanted to get as many people done before the rain started up again. But he signed my phone case, playbill, and a meme I printed out. That story will come later once I dry out! I love this show and I just wish I could see it everyday! Darren is the ultimate sweetheart!
So I had an interesting end to the week, and I wanted to blog about it, so I’ll put it under a cut because no one is probably interested but like I said I want to blog about it and its my blog :P
So I am super proud of myself for my Wednesday adventure. I have never driven on the turnpike in my life. I had a panic attack when I had to drive on a high way a few months ago, and here I was driving across state lines into one of the most difficult cities to navigate, at least thats what I am told. I handled the turnpike very well, of course it helped that it was the middle of the afternoon. I got to Trenton, but silly me I didn’t think to look up where the parking garage was in relation to the train station. I actually ended up in downtown Trenton and somehow managed to get back and find the garage and a legal space.
Next was getting on the train. Now that doesn’t seem like something really hard to do, but I never go places by myself, and even if I am the one who is charge of the travel stuff, and keeps track of the train tracks and times, I was still super paranoid I was going to end up in Kentucky instead of NYC. Luckily I managed to get on the right train, and managed to get on the same train as the friend I was meeting up with.
So got to the city, managed to find the theater and all the billboard and stuff I wanted to, and sat third row at the show.It was amazing. I didn’t post much about the actual show because I honestly can’t believe it happened, and I literally have no words. We staged doored it and while it took Darren forever to come out and the crowd thinned and thinned I was actually able to talk to Darren when he did come out. Asked him about all the glitter. But I was proud that I got the words out (and in English and no vomit).
Fun side story. Did the print at home option for the tickets, and got all the way into the city and stopped in the middle of the sidewalk because I forgot to grab the tickets! I was panicking that I needed to find an internet cafe or someplace that would let me print something! My friend suggested we go to the box office, because they have records saying that I bought the tickets, and if they can’t do anything then we work on finding a place to print them out. Luckily the box office was able to print the tickets, so if you forget the print out, or want actual tickets, the box office might be able to do that for you.
So going home, we managed to get on the last train leaving the city that day, next one was at 130. That train was delayed because the doors weren’t closing. Everyone had to get off the train and board another. Finally after half an hour we left. Drunk people on the train, as interesting. I got back to Trenton at 2am and had to go find my car. I found the garage easily, my car was another story. I literally walked the ramp up and up and up, and I just could not find my car. I start panicking, luckily I found it, and looked at my phone to call home and I had 4 missed calls from my mom panicking because I hadn't called her yet.
Calmed her down and tried to leave, but the GPS was not working. The streets didn’t match the picture. Finally was able to get on the right roads and back home I went. But it took me a weird ass way. I literally live a mile away from a turnpike entrance yet it took me off 45 miles away. I knew where I was but like seriously? Well I managed to get home. I was tired and excited and hot and sweaty, but it was a great day!
Then Thursday I drove to WCU, which is the place I had a panic attack when I tried to drive there a few months ago. Managed to get there. Them mom took over the way home and we managed to get lost. Easy fix but like seriously, at rush hour mom? Whatever, I got cheesecake out of it.
Then today, I apparently looked death in the face, according to my manager. It was truck day, and the skid I was bringing out onto the floor was just a hair too high, so I grabbed the boxes on top and threw them down. When I was coming down, I pulled the skid with me. Luckily y manager was there and helped me get it up right, but I nearly gave her a heart attack. She thought I was going to die. I was fine, calm, cool, and collected. It didn’t bother me. I only see my life flash before my eyes when I step on the empty pallet and the beam breaks and “fall” the 3 inches to the floor. Not, when 100′s of pounds, maybe close to 1000 pound of craft store merchandise falling on top of me trapping me between the merchandise and a wall.
This as an interesting end to the week. I am so proud of all that I accomplished on Wednesday. I pushed past so many of my anxieties and I survived. Maybe I can push myself some more in other aspects.
If you read this, I am sorry for my word vomit, and thanks for taking some sort of interest in my life! Love you.
I leave you with this, if I can deal with my stuff, you can deal with some of your stuff. It might be small things but know even if it is the smallest thing, you can survive it.
Made it home! Time for sleeps
I asked Darren a very important question at stage door... How does one get rid of all the glitter.
