I’ve also met people in real life who tend to stumble over their words and struggle with quick thinking or smooth verbal organization, yet they’re actually extremely intelligent. So I don’t think we can judge Gen as unintelligent or dismiss her as a pretend literary enthusiast just based on her speech patterns. In fact, Gen strikes me as someone who weighs every single word carefully, spending time figuring out how to phrase things perfectly. This can actually hinder her from expressing her viewpoints more fluidly, but there’s nothing wrong with that. What’s more, I sometimes find the ideas she puts forward fresh and highly original. Besides, a person’s ability to absorb knowledge is separate from their ability to create it—these are two distinct processes: internalizing information versus externalizing and communicating it.
I do think Jared is naturally gifted at expression and dynamic, back‑and‑forth conversation with others, and he has sharp on‑the‑spot reflexes. I suspect this stems partly from his love of debating when he was younger. Years of acting and answering fan questions at meet‑and‑greet have also honed and refined his critical thinking skills over time. Ultimately, these are just two different ways of thinking and behaving, and they might even complement each other well in daily life and work.😉😉😉
