i was GOING to save this for later but. surprise surprise. the 5th happened <3

i’m plunged into darkness

all over again

my eyes and my heart

adjust to the nothing

i see it

i feel it

it doesn’t waver

until your return

and you 

you’ve never known

you’ve never known

i’ve never told you

that your mere presence is 

my bonfire

my beacon

my light

a dim glow

to have you beside me

a dim hope

that one day you’ll know

that you’re

a dim reason

for me to stay in this life

as long as i get to share it

with you

tonight

that dim light turns blinding

as you say your truth

(it’s my truth as well)

but just as quick

as the sun rises

it sets

and you

you’ll never know

that even though 

i stay behind

the darkness that takes you

envelops me too
