you can transition in literally any order you want and it's fine*. i started seeking hrt before i was even sure. i'm a few months in, have started seeking laser hair removal, and yet. I have not told anyone around me. I have no plans to change my legal name yet (i mean i should get to it but it's whatever for now). Gender marker? i forgot about that until i started making this post.

*some restrictions may apply if your country is run by idiots

anyway. i'm not really sure where i was going with this. just know if someone's telling you you have to do x and y before you're allowed to do z (usually hrt), unless you trust they actually know your country's bad laws, there's a good chance they're (unconsciously) trying to slow you down. and life's too short not to be happy.

sometimes i struggls to see a huge difference between new and old photos, i feel like not much changed, while at the same time, everything changed.

Well she's here again.

Her visits have gotten more frequent lately, but it feels like very few people can see her. No one around me seems to notice when she's around. Not family, not colleagues, not even friends. I've been thinking about it but i still can't bring it up, I'm scared they'll make fun of me or say I'm crazy for believing in that kind of stuff, but I know I've met her, I know she's real. At this point I've started hoping they'll just pick up on her eventually, because she's here more often than ever before.

She started showing up a few months ago. Well, that's what I like to think, it makes things easier. But really, I met her once before. I must've been 7 or 8 years old. She had that familiar face I'd never seen. I was taken aback, it was such a strange feeling. And before I knew it, she vanished, for over a decade. Funnily enough, it's only when I started thinking about her again, trying to figure out who she could possibly be, that she started showing up again, after so many years.

We've never exchanged a word, she and I. I guess glances are all we have to say. I smile at her, because I'm happy to see her, and every time, she smiles back, then we move on.

Okay, focus. Come on. I've got this!

I think I'll be ready to do something about it soon. I want to actually know who she is. I want to know what the world is like to her. And I think, sooner or later, i'll be ready to tell the rest of the world about her. The pretty girl in the mirror.

okay friends i'm going to tell my parents i'm trans in like an hour-ish. in case i spontaneously combust or get so embarrassed i can't speak anymore and until the end of time, let my girlfriend know my dying wish is that she would try linux mint a little bit
