I had no reason to care about rape then -- I was a lucky kid, safe and securely loved -- but that story hit me hard. Somehow I sensed what was coming for me even then. Really, though, what girl doesn't? It looms over you, that threat of violence. They drill the danger into your head until it starts to feel inevitable. You grow up wondering when it's finally going to happen.

Hi all, today you’re all going to experience a first hand rant from Remy. On days where I feel masculine my parents refuse to call me he/him and laugh when I dress like a guy.. it’s upsetting, hurtful, and frustrating all in one. When I feel genderless they refuse to use they/them pronouns! It’s annoying and depressing and infuriating all at once!!

Why can’t they just accept me as I am? Why do they think my gender identity is a joke?

It’s unfair..
