Been seeing a lot of fem Deadpool lately but what about genderfluid gender BENT Deadpool what about that
I think gender bent Deadpool would mess with gender in the same way as Wade does. Like he’s mostly masculine but he disarms people with his girlish charm and gives off genderfluid vibes- completely comfortable in a dress or frivolous things, sees himself as more feminine compared to how other people see him, kinda big intimidating class clown humor (I’m boiling him down but you get my point)
And I think Winn (the gender bent name I’m giving Deadpool, she also goes by Winnie) is super fem in the mask and suit.
The blonde ponytail, flirting, same interests in frivolous things but I think it’s also sorta a performance to disarm. She’s cutesy on purpose but also witty and crass to distract and throw them off. But where people are expecting this sorta crazy sexual killer stereotype she subverts it by being a terrifying merc doesn’t bat an eye at beheading six people and then commenting that she could really go for a taco. Not crazy in the Harley Quinn way, but a different brand. Like she wants to be that way? If that makes sense. She wants to be the sexy-giggling-while-she-kills-you but I think it’s more of a performance and when the mask comes off she’s crazy in a way that isn’t digestible to others. She crazy in the way that isn’t ‘sexy’ in the she talks to walls and boxes no one can hear and can’t stop the violence even if she wants to.
And I think she’d think about this too, how people perceive her. I think she’d wanna be seen as hot and attractive but only feels that way in the mask and also, she’s a raging lesbian (pan but with a preference okay) but can only attract the male gaze.
And outside of the mask I think it would be really hard for Winn to feel feminine unless she puts a lot of effort into it, so she tends to be more masc. dark colors, baggy clothes, hood or a cap on. Shes bald which would be hugely gender dysphoric for her for a while. I mean if she sews a fake ponytail into the mask then she’s gotta have loved her hair when she had it. Winn can definitely pull off being bald but she wouldn’t see it that way.
She’s tall and people can mistake her for a guy with her scars and at least if she a guy, people are less likely to harass her. But when she’s comfortable or feeling herself she tries to dress feminine and wear makeup but rarely goes out in the mini skirts and crop tops and heels and fishnets like she wants to. She just settles for going to sleep in cute pjs but also has a wide variety of weird tshirts.
Anyway just thinking about gender-bent Deadpool’s gender, because it is that serious to me.
