"Dance Curves — On the Dances of Palucca" (1926) ✕ Wassily Kandinsky — Gret Palucca's poses distilled into line
Estine Coquerelle (France)
A scientist placed bait on top of a pencil at location A and moved it a few inches to location B. An ant was shown the bait at location A and brought some of it back to its nest. When it returned looking for the bait it continued to search around point A even though the pencil had been moved nearby. Eventually it enlarged the search area and located the pencil at B.
Squiggly lines show the paths the ant took.
