New Calendar & Spotlight Weeks!
We’ve come up with a calendar to announce special events taking place on the Sherlock Kinkmeme! Our first endeavor is ‘Spotlight Weeks’ to showcase and encourage prompts and fills from different, not always easy to find areas.
You are always, always, always welcome to submit or fill whatever prompts you like, whenever you like, and we’ll be just as glad to get and post them, so please don’t let this discourage you from those! But this is just to shine a little light on the lesser-known ones.
Here’s a copy of what we’ve got going currently (and you can always get to these via the calendar link on our main page), so if you want to give a little bit more love to these other categories, give these a look and see if you can’t come up with one for it!
March 5-11: Different Incarnations There’s a ton of these - basically anything that’s not BBC. Do you like your ACD, RDJ, Elementary, or Granada? How about Great Mouse Detective or the Russian versions? We’ve even got a handy list to give you some ideas (and there’s bound to be some we’ve missed!)
March 12-18: Rare or Under-Represented Pairs This could be anything as rare as Dimmock/Mrs Hudson to Mystrade - if you have to dig to find it, it belongs here!
March 19-25: OT3s (or more!) Anything from close friendships, to long-term relationships, or just some smutty three-or-moresomes!
March 26-Apr 1: Artwork Art fills are amazing! If any part of any prompt takes your fancy, or if someone’s already-completed fill inspires you, hop on in and give it a go!
April 1: Crack Works! What better day than April 1st to send in your best crack prompts?
April 2-8: AUs, Crossovers, & Fusions Do you like Potterlock, Wing fic, Vampires, and Aliens? Want Doctor Who to drop in for a visit? Sherlock to meet Khan? Want them to work in a coffee shop, meet at school, or run a library? All that and more!
April 9-15: No Sex, Please A focus on friendship, ace, platonic, and queer-platonic relationships. You don’t have to be scromping to have a great fic!
April 16-22: Genderflipped Femmeslash fits under rare pairs, but gender-flipping allows you to change the original gender to something else. The most common is flipping a male character to a female, but this works in changing any gender to another one, female, male, trans, fluid, 3rd sex, intersex, something in-between, or even undefined. All of them are welcome!
