I have to tell you, I hadn't watched Bridgerton before, but the S3 trailer and frankly Nicola in that dark green dress made me be like....maybe I should finally cave? And then you came back and started immediately talking about it and I was like, you know what? If someone I trust gives this the seal of approval, I'm gonna give it a shot. Watched the first two seasons in like two weeks, watched the third yesterday. Have been in a giddy little bubble about it all day, already made my roommate hear all about it. So like, curse you and thank you for that!

I was 1000% convinced I would not like season 3 and I couldn't be happier to be wrong.

To be clear, I just thought what they showed us in the trailer for Colin was so mid–WHICH IT WAS, AND ON PURPOSE–and I'm so glad I just decided to watch it anyway because omg, it's wonderful.

Also, Nicola's got the best face ever??

Also boobs. I'm very happy.

Truth About Cats and Dogs has been one of my all times faves since I was a kid. I love Janeane so effing much in it. Glad to see it getting some much deserved love

Same here, I’ve loved that movie since I was a kid! It is unfairly underrated.

Love reality bites and chasing any. Rewatched chasing Amy and you’re right it doesn’t totally hold up but I still think it’s good. I think for people to think it’s good they had to see it around the time it originally came out tho ��‍♀️

You’re probably right, I might still like it because of nostalgia since I watched it when it came out. I do feel, in spite of Jason Lee’s homophobic character, the movie was rather progressive in the sense that it addressed sexual fluidity, albeit problematically. But hey, it’s 2020 and there aren’t many mainstream movies addressing that topic, right? I still think it’s worth a watch.

......I've actually only seen one of these. But my mother really wants me to watch While You Were Sleeping so that's definitely on my list

I know it's like everyone's favorite moment, but everyone has good taste! The "I want my father back you son of a bitch" -- I get choked up every time I see it, and I've seen this movie easily 100 times. It's just so painful and yet satisfying, and as you pointed out, Patinkin was putting his all into acting that scene.

It is a powerful scene, and if it’s everyone’s favorite mom, it’s for good reason. Of course, I may be biased because Iñigo is my favorite character, but whatever :)

arguably the most charming part of this movie is that the script was written entirely by william goldman, the author of the book it was based on, and the book is written as if it is transcribing the story but abridged to include only the “fun bits.” so you can almost imagine the grandfather in the movie is abridging the book for his grandson in the same way!

that’s interesting! and I’m very curious about the book, I might have to give it a read!

I guess we will see their journey for a while but I can’t help but think about what is next, these people have used any possible scenario in one damn season. If they succeed in this scenario, then what? 

I love that the biggest mystery of this show is how will they break their current premise. It’s insane.

That is the one thing in 10 Things I Hate About You, a movie I otherwise adore, that makes me so furious. Like, riot grrrl feminist Kat would not be pissed days later that Patrick didn’t want to push her when drunk. She would love his sober based consent ethos. It’s such a weird trope that I could use 1000% less of.

Ehh considering what happened in season 4 with Faith I'm kinda glad we don't have another canon wlw who is a rapist. (I know you already talked about this in another ask but I seriously can't get over the fact that Faith never gets any consequences from that)

Season 4 events probably wouldn’t have happened if Faith and Buffy had become a thing in season 3. But I totally agree with you about never getting over the fact that Faith is not held accountable for the rapes.

I'm also strongly anti love triangle, but I gotta say, Weevil/Veronica/Logan would be pretty great. It'd be more like a love sphere -- like who even is trying to get with who? THE ANSWER IS ALL OF THEM.

Strongly agree, they'd have had loads of sexual tension with Angelus occasionally doing Drusilla etc a fanged foursome was how they spent hundreds of years (or at least decades) so I even highly doubt it was only once, though dru and Darla also express bisexuality which probably translated into a lot of their smuttier victim choices

They were the kinkiest vampires in town, that’s for sure.
