Sometimes I see posts complaining about how unrealistic a ship is due to their dynamic in canon lacking proper romantic/sexual chemistry and then I remember a lot of people see chemistry as a friends-to-lovers or enemies-to-lovers formulaic amatonormative thing and not Wow These Vibes Are Really Fucking Interesting Ohoho. And this also explains why certain ships that I think lack chemistry end up being shoehorned into formulas and mass-produced anyways, and why ones with very good vibes or dynamics get passed by the wayside because canon doesn’t emphasize the moments of tension in a cliché Expectable way.
Also I am always baffled by people arguing over ships via how likely they are to become canon. They’re already headcanoned in my mind as true now or the future or some AU, I am just along for the ride when it comes to canon and will see how it affects my headcanons when it gets there. Multishipping is bliss.
