Everything is fine, yes! I am terribly sorry for my lack of keeping my promise to be more active. I'd apparently had more work cut for me than I'd realised...

But I've been invited to a very special event, a tournament, I believe!

I don't think I'll have time to update on it either... I'll see what I can do, though! But I've spiffed myself quite nicely for this! My wife suggested I trimmed by beard for the occasion.

This'll be a lovely vacation!

Would the rambunctious young’ins tank groom each other if they were messy? Like if there’s stuff caught in their hair

Absolutely! Initially, Zenitsu had no idea how to do any form of social grooming so he freaked out when Tanjirou started picking at his scales for sea lice. He also didn’t appreciate Tanjirou combing through his hair for them either (but he did eventually enjoy the feeling later). Tanjirou didn’t allow Zenitsu to comb Nezuko’s hair at first since Zenitsu barely knew how to care for his own hair but once Tanjirou taught him and was sure Zenitsu wouldn’t just make Nezuko’s hair worse, Tanjirou was fine with it.

Genya always gets flustered when Tanjirou or Nezuko end up grooming him because he’s not used to the attention. Because he doesn't have scales, Tanjirou and Nezuko weren’t entirely sure how to groom Genya at first but they figured it out. Genya won’t admit it but he loves the feeling of hands combing through his hair and scratching his head. Zenitsu won’t groom Genya because he’s too afraid but he’ll watch Tanjirou groom him. Zenitsu also doesn’t like it when Nezuko grooms Genya so he makes Tanjirou groom Genya so Nezuko can groom him.

Big question honestly and genuinely inquiring,,,,

Is wearing a head scarf in any capacity appropriation, if to me personally and if someone inquires it's not religious (say like a burka or hijab) just wearing it because it's cold or goes nicely with an outfit?

I was wondering if you had any recommendations for sticking the flowers onto Yasuho's skirt? I have fake flowers from a craft store and I'm at a loss as to what would be best. Thank you in advance!

It sticks to pretty much everything and dries in minutes (though it takes 3 days to cure completely). It’s also fairly inexpensive, comes in different sizes and you can get it at pretty much any craft store as well as some dollar stores.

Btw I love this au! anyway I was wondering if any of the mermaids splash the staff? and if they do how would the staff react?

The short answer is yes, the mermaids splash the staff so there’s a washer/dryer on the premises and spare clothes available! Most of the time the staff don’t mind being splashed; it’s basically part of the job.

Sanemi will splash if he’s in a bad mood but that’s mostly from swimming aggressively and flicking water with his tail. Kiyo, Naho, and Sumi are usually scared when Sanemi splashes and run to older staff for safety.

Kyoujurou might splash with his hands and fins accidentally if he’s excited.

Obanai, Muichirou, Kanao, Senjurou, and Genya don’t splash the staff since they’re pretty subdued.

Zenitsu will and has splashed staff on purpose. Specifically Tengen, who is always annoyed by it. Zenitsu also splashes staff just due to being upset and throwing a tantrum.

Nezuko play splashes the staff mostly to get their attention since she’s nonverbal sometimes. The girls think it’s adorable when she does it and always forgive her. Tanjirou will also play splash the staff if they’re in their wetsuits but mostly he keeps splashing to a minimum. When he first met Tengen though, he spit water at him because he thought he was abducting Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi (they were just playing). Tengen didn’t like it and yelled at Tanjirou.
