Do you think horikoshi knows he made a top 10 yearner of all time?
"Can I catch up to you" but its 10 years later and bakugo never thought he would have to actually put in effort to keep Izuku bc Izuku no longer sees a future where its JUST the two of them intertwined forever, but a slew of their friends and brown, brown, brown.
I love uraraka but i just feel like the narrative and what we see of their relationship doesnt make me feel like they are still thinking about their first crush in high school. The gap and epilogue kind of implies nothing really happened during the rest of school either, maybe i'm wrong. I just so clearly feel like specific lessons and feelings between tochaco and bkdk are integral to our main characters and the "more" she and deku want arent necessarily each other.
Now if i wanted to ruin my ted talk you could argue they, along with a lot of their friends, peers, and mentors, gave up a lot of basic experiences teenagers get to have for the sake of focusing on heroism, and uraraka and deku are just finally hitting play on an aspect of their relationship they never started. And that there is something wrenching about bakugo having to accept this reality, where his deku is no longer chasing him nor keeping pace, but separating their route until they meet again, tiny little detours where every destination is his other half. And how will he adjust and prepare for this unfamilar terrain.
