Welcome to the Thunderdome
The students play at lunch, because the cafeteria is not big enough to but about three-quarters of a grade at a time. So while some of the students eat the others play soccer, basketball, tag, etc.; talk in large suspicious groups; practice their dance moves; or cause general mischief. This story falls under the "General Mischief" category.
Apparently, today at lunch, one of the second grade boys decided it would be a good idea to pierce the straps of his school slippers with nails so that the points faced up. He did that so he could inflict the maximum amount of pain on other students when he kicked them. My guess would be either in the leg or the ass.
Fortunately, he was caught and given a very, very stern talking to. It would have been a lot worse if he had actually kicked the kid he originally intended to kick. He probably would have gotten a stern talking to from a sturdy rod of some kind. That is why this can be filed under the "General Mischief" category and not something much worse.
In reality this kid is very bright and very kind. He plays with students that most of the other boys will not play with and he is very helpful in class, because his English is actually better than his Korean. He just also happens to run in a circle of friends who happen to be some of the worst behaved students in the school. Again, many of them are actually good kids who just become victims of groupthink. Which is probably why this particular student thought the prison style, nails in the slippers was so funny.
Well, I'm glad all you teens enjoyed another opportunity to form a sex riot. But now that that orgy you call a dance is over, I would like to turn all of your attention to what Sue Sylvester calls a real party:
Lindy-hopping.
Just sit on that for a little bit. Let it stew.
Coach Sylvester is going to find a way to bring real talent back to this school.
