Announcement! Now that we are properly starting, I want to give you all a heads up what awaits you. This webcomic has blood, sacrifice, abusive behaviour and spiders! Also a bit of gay porn, but not too explicit. Two of the characters have a very unhealthy relationship due to their stations (god/priest) and some shit they have going on *cough*. I'll tag the necessary things on each page and put a mature warning on if necessary.
This comic has been started in 2009? Or 2010? I'm not so sure anymore. Don't be surprised by the gradual change in the art style and rest assured that I have plotted it all out to the end. All that remains for me is to draw the final chapter, which I've already started posting on my Patreon and deviantart.
I hope you enjoy it and have fun! I love feedback and talking about my OCs so ask away if you have questions! ❤️
Note: I don’t know how many of these things will show up in the actual show, and will be making a separate post of general warnings for the show. But here’s the general content warnings for the comic as a whole.
Adoptive Sibling Incest: Diego/Vanya and Luther/Allison are two pairings that involve adopted siblings who are definitely mutually into each other. While neither pairing is currently romantically involved, the fact that they’re into each other is very canon and Luther and Allison have kissed at least once.*
Abuse: Reginald Hargreeves is an asshole who on-screen psychologically abuses and is just a jerk to pretty much everyone, but especially Vanya. There’s also discussion of the fact that he was physically abusive towards them by way of forced experimentation. Related to that...
Child Endangerment: The Academy is pretty much constantly getting into fights starting from age ten (10), and sometimes civilian kids are in danger.
Drug use/alcoholism: Klaus is an addict and it’s very obvious. This gets especially bad in Hotel Oblivion, but it’s a constant thing with him.
Violence/Gore: I will be warning for individual issues in the posts but just know this comic has Hella Gore. The art style only sometimes makes this less gross.
Occult Stuff: While Klaus’s ability to speak to the dead is inherent to him, he also uses ouija boards and some imagery surrounding them (mostly the planchette) has worked its way into his whole Vibe. There are also Satanic bikers in the third plot arc, so this stuff does pop up on occasion.
*Note that I’m only basing this on my memories of the main body of the comics; my memory of the extra material is hazy and I don’t think most of it is online anymore anyways, so if anyone remembers those mini-comics, let me know.
* = Avoidable in-game
*** = You cannot find this unless you’re looking for it.
NOTE: If you have ANY issues with anything below and you wish to play the game, I will happily make a custom edited game for you so you can avoid anything you are bothered by.
Please let me know if you wish to play the game, and if something else bothers you that does not appear on this list. I, again, will be happy to make arrangements so you can play without being bothered.
Please read more to see the list (We included anything we could possibly think of, even if it was tiny.)
General Game-play
- Pregnancy of Main Character*
- Insects (sprites of them if that counts)
- Mild innuendos*
- Mild implied sexuality***
- There is a clinic with hospital beds
- The words ‘hell’ and ‘damn’ used throughout dialogue
- It is part of the plot to date one of the love interests and (While not the central aspect of the game) marry them.
Festivals/Plot events
Medical:
-Small Jumpscare* (You are warned before you decide if you want to enter.)
- Serious Injury (Never shown or described, but still happens)
- Sound of a heart monitor
Problematic:
- ‘stupid’ ‘idiot’ ‘dumb’ used towards other characters.
- A temporary kidnapping (The person is in a five star hotel and is pretty much there by choice, but didn’t get there by choice.)
- Alcohol reference* (but it’s touched on mildly as I’m uncomfortable with the topics of drugs and alcohol)
- The antagonists are classist ( “We are superior because we got money”)
Personal:
- Some characters speak different languages (Japanese, Italian, Spanish) in their dialogue. They will not be translated in-game, as the hero is meant to be the player. If the player doesn’t understand, then the hero doesn’t either.
- Some events (Halloween, Thanksgiving) remain in the game while others (Christmas, Easter) have been removed.
Emotional:
- Marital issues/ Divorce is mentioned and shown. Both parties remain happy in the end
- Mentions of (potential murder) death (no on-screen death)
- There is a funeral in-game.
- There is an event where the parents ask the mother to ask her daughter to date one of their kids. They act rather adamant about it.
- Some characters speak different languages (Japanese, Italian, Spanish) in their dialogue. They will not be translated in-game, as the hero is meant to be the player. If the player doesn’t understand, then the hero doesn’t either.
Romance Events/Love interests
All below is avoidable just so long as you don’t romance them.
Aris:
- Aris uses ‘stupid’ ‘idiot’ ‘dummy’ ‘princess’ for the player. It’s implied she uses them back at him. (Has him as ‘idiot’ in his phone). He never means it.
- Aris is a bit more dominant in his actions. He never does anything without consent, but an example would be “I’m going to kiss you” instead of “Can I kiss you”
Kyler:
- Kyler has a semi-colon tattoo. We don’t really know if he got it as a tribute to someone or himself.
- Kyler often teases people for never going out with someone (but he hasn’t himself so he’s trying to find someone to relate to.)
Max:
- Max clearly suffers from Anxiety and possibly mild depression (And it’s written from personal experience)
Damion:
- Damion uses the word ‘Chick’ to refer to the MC, but Jet promptly corrects him
- Damion is completely unaware that everyone likes video games.
Jay:
- Gets hit by a guy while trying to get back at them.
- The hero punches the guy enough to shock him.
- The hero lightly slaps Jay’s cheek to snap him out of his anger
The Hero:
- The hero is sometimes the dominant one in the relationship, sometimes the submissive one and sometimes its’ equal.
This game Promotes and supports:
Non-warnings, just so you know that this is what we care about and this is what the game contains.
- Body positivity
- the LGBTQ community (We have plans for more female love interests, same-gender couples, two transgender characters voiced by trans VAs, etc etc.)
This time something off the programming. This is for the people, and something that everyone should know.
Ultrasonic Mosquito Repellents do not work. There is no proven evidence. DO NOT BUY anything that claims like that.
