no but fr- the amount of times i have to reread a section of a comic because i only realized like 6 pages into a scene that the square chiseled jaw chad man isn't actually the one i thought they were 😭

also i was propaganda'd into looking into the comics after i (with piss poor batman knowledge) read some dc x dp fics and got drawn in by the good character dynamics and found myself going 'oh?? oh there's a guy who died and came back wrong? yeah??' and i cannot tell you my disappointment when i looked him up and was met with pictures of yet another bruce lookalike kdbgjkk

I think the Raine could also, maybe, be a Basillisk? If the shots we see with eyes are just random shots to fit together, and not super related as like "Raine is remembering things" it could be a Basillisk that Belos is making impersonate Raine for the public eye.

ohhh that's also possible!! and illusionists also exist so i'm guessing it would also be doable to "illusion" yourself into looking like someone else (like.. raine 👁)

although i feel like in the close-up shot it really is them, cuz the little red glare on their glasses reminds me of the veins spell's color (it might not be even in the same episode as the close-up shots of younger raeda tho, but oh it'd be neat.. it'd be neat.... especially if raine's looking at eda, that'd be a neat little parallel/juxtaposition)

the current DC Animated universe has actually been Reset as of Apokalips War, so anything can happen, although i don't know if that was fully canon, it sure seems like it

DC and reset were never a good combination, but I don’t take it seriously because the DCAU was never consistent in the first place. Barbara was Batgirl in “Batman vs TMNT” even though the Killing Joke already happened before that movie and Tim was Red Robin in that one movie, even though they never formally introduced his character before that and even though Damian was currently Robin at that point and characters in the DCAU change love interests between every movie. So I don’t see what will a reset do in a universe were nothing was permanent in the first place.

With that being said, I hope they take the opportunity of a reset to fix some of the characters’ mythology and retell their stories that will make them more similar to their comic version.
