HEAD SLIGHTLY TILTED TO THE SIDE, his words earning a raised brow despite the fact that the gesture was well hidden behind the helmet still secured on her head. An enigma. Wasn’t that exactly how she liked to be seen, the less it was known about her the better it was. Something akin to a chuckle filtered out, and she soon found herself removing her helmet, something that rarely happened. ❝ I would like to think that that’s quite the compliment. ❞

“Everyone deserves that at least once, don’t you think?” Poe chooses his words carefully, cautiously. He means no disrespect, and yet his heart aches as he recalls that very night with fondness.
“Despite what anyone thinks, you’re still human. Even if you need a reminder every now and again.”
It’s an unspoken offer, one that he hopes Hux might consider - but he refuses to outright ask. That would open a can of worms he’s not comfortable facing just yet.

Phasma had not hated her own parents in quite the same way. Once she maybe even loved them, but she had loved Keldo more, and they hadn’t been capable of helping her to become stronger like Keldo had been. She hadn’t felt any glee in their deaths really. But with Brendol. Oh, she had relished his death. Everything he’d ever held over her, both of them, gone in an instant. Neatly disposed of in a brutal way that would have left him aware and unable to do a thing. She’d been elated to give that gift to Armitage. “I’m pleased to know that.”
