She was too into it to manage to push herself away from it, the research part was never her favorite but sometimes she ended up getting lost in it and only wanting to finish it sooner rather than later. “--Can give ya money if you need some.” She offered as her gaze never left the book.

"That’s kind of a stupid reason if y’ask me. Just ‘cuz Dean and Sam told me about you, still didn’t mean that I would trust you right away, despite everything.” Emma responded as she folded her arms across her chest while she leaned against the backing of her chair, her gaze locked with his before there was a squint of her emerald hues. A deep exhale left her lips as there was a shake of her head, “If y’really do trust me ... I must have proven somethin’ of my worth to you -- don’t have anythin’ to give so I don’t know what in hell that could have been.” She admitted with a shrug as a serious expression logged upon her features.

Emma nodded when he repeated her name with some hope that glistened in her eyes as she wished that might help jog some kind of memories they shared together. She clenched her jaw and swallowed hard when he refused to believe the fact that they’re engaged. There was pain that twisted in the pit of her stomach when it came to his simple response, she didn’t know it would hurt her this much. She avoided his gaze when he faced her to only help gather her energy to be more reassuring than angry toward him, “We were on a case together.” She answered slowly before she met his gaze, “Do you remember what you do?”

Emma was fully aware of what had happened to Dean and she did brace herself for this moment, but it still tore her heart in half. It was more painful than she could even imagine, not that she bothered to really think about it to begin with. Part of her almost believed that the doctor was wrong about his amnesia.
“Emma –” She swallowed hard before she took in a deep breath and hesitantly took his hand into hers. She only hoped that he wouldn’t pull away, “O’Reilly … your fiancée.” She added with her dry throat as a crack entered her tone while she spoke.
