Intern's Restock - gouache on grey tinted mixed media paper, slight pen overlay *_*_*_* PHEW! So, as part of my environmental Intern series ( if you can call it a series that is generally an excuse for you to play around with doing fun environment pieces and just have the same character show up in the background of most of them) I decided that while I'd pencil, I'd paint directly on top of that linework, no ink. 😶 Pals, IT FELT SO ODD and yet, rather exhilarating? I couldn't rely on the Ink's boundaries to define shape so I had to think about how the colors would balance more. Also, gouache sliding over paper is a dream, it moves so happily XD I'm still charmed by lines, but I'm starting to see why some of my more painterly artists compatriots enjoy shape more.
