Generation Butthurt(TM)

I've realized today that that the term "millennials" has been used indiscriminately to describe two separate generations. One may ask, "But why does it matter?" The answer is simple: the generation coming of age during the 2010s became the "Words hurt" generation. While I realize that this is all just semantics, there are very distinct differences between the two. One was alive for Grunge and the Beastie Boys, the other had Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. One remembers a time prior to the Internet, the other is referred to as "digital natives". One was a working stiff during the 2008 financial crisis, the other wasn't even out of elementary school then. There's a difference. Some of us identify with those of whom we have experiential similarities. I realize that every generation looks down upon those of subsequent generations and that this is no different. It may be semantics, but goddamn does it piss me off. End of rant.
