Mom and I have finally figured out a good schedule for sewing days!

I thought that would mean we would both bring a project and sew together, but it actually means Mom brings every project she's struggling with, and I help her finish them.

I do like helping her with sewing dilemmas, but it was much more fun when we finished with her problems and got back to personal sewing.

She brought a quilt to finish binding, and I got to work on a few Six Pointed Star blocks for the Generations Quilt!

Playing with some Generations blocks at Grandma's house!

Mom and Grandma are actually at the dentist's office right now, but I'm excited to show them what I've been doing when they get back!

For this layout, I was aiming for blue and pink blocks, but now that I see them all together, I don't even think we need to do that much sorting just because of how scrappy my Grandma and Great Grandmother's blocks are. But I'm waiting for a second opinion before I make any decisions!

Just put the last stitches into my ninth imitation Grandma style Six Pointed Star block!

For anyone not following along with the posts on my Generations Quilt project, Grandma finished as many blocks as she was able to, and I used some of her fabric to piece the rest of them on her behalf. These nine should get her all the way to 20 completed Six Pointed Star blocks!

Now, back to work on the Dresden Plates!

With the house cleaned up, I can finally get back to some stitching!

My Mom recently told me she was down to her last Generations block, so I thought I should probably get back to working on mine too. I really love the Dresden Plate pattern, so it's been a lot of fun to get back to!

I've been working on making some more fake Grandma blocks for the Generations Quilt project and am so happy with how they're turning out so far!

I've been sick the last week, so the slow pace of hand piecing has been just what I needed. And in this time, I've already finished piecing ten new Dresden Plate appliques in Grandma's style and finished two of those as blocks!

Can't wait to finish the rest of them!

I've had a very busy weekend; I visited my Grandma and attended a quilt guild meeting, I helped Mom work on her Stars of the City quilt, and somehow still had time to applique a few more Dresden Plate blocks!

I finished seven new Dresdens this weekend, and basted two more. I've also basted nine Six Pointed Star blocks and am looking forward to piecing those soon!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!

Last week, I was preparing myself to post a Project Update when I realized it's been nearly two months since my last one! But then I remembered it was actually a Blackwork Roads week, so the update had to wait!

Now, the wait is over and I can finally share some new progress on four different quilts!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!

After a fun weekend gathering with my Mom and Grandma, I'm excited to be able to share a new update to the Generations Quilt project!

I finished piecing my blocks several months ago with the understanding that I might need to make more in the future. Now, my Mom and Grandma have just about caught up with me and I'm excited to show off a little of their progress!
