So in my town, we were expecting 8-12 inches of snow today. This means everyone stocked up on food and water and anything else they needed.
My town also has a Facebook page where people can post and make comments about whatever. As you would imagine this page has been pretty much overwhelmed with posts about the roads and the snow and staying safe- we live in Ohio so lots of snow isn’t new though it usually comes at a different time every year.
ANYWAYS. I like to read through the page every once in a while because drama pops up and sometimes some really helpful information comes up. Well, it came to the towns attention that the stores were out of something you wouldn’t expect for oncoming storm prep.
Bananas.
I would like to add that a majority of people who follow this page are roughly middle age. They make fun of millennials often and try to make their own memes. Every meme has failed until today.
Post after post, people joke about the need for bananas.
While the posts were funny by themselves, it was taken to another level when the alleged blizzard was only freezing rain.
Chaos ensued. Stores were given the chance to recover due to everyone being locked inside for the storm. And thus we have a happy ending.
And of course I got some bananas too. Just Incase they can dig me out of my house when the real storm hits tonight.
In the end I have to give the town credit for keeping calm during our banana crisis.
Update: the blizzard hit and we are running low on bananas
