Video and Music by me.
This is the first full system test of the bitcoin server, financial data parser/OSC sender, OSC receiver/sound generation, and input for recording/playback, for Speculative: Futures, Origins, and Everyday Staples.
MinerOne - Intel SR1435VP2 1U Server w/AMD HD6450 GFX card mining Bitcoin in BitMinter pool. Running web scraping app to pull financial data related to Bitcoin off of ounce.me. Data is aggregated over time and is mapped to frequency ranges for 7 different indices. The mapped data is then sent over a network with OSC.
Tec9 - Dell Mini 9 running the OSC receiving/sound generation app. Getting incoming OSC data and then spitting out tones based on those values for the 7 indices. Audio output of Tec9 goes into MOTU 828.
Magpi - MacBook Pro with MOTU 828 audio interface serves as the audio recording, mix/remixing, and routing machine. It takes the generative sound from Tec9 along with up to 6 other sources from live collaborators and other audio gear, including some tiny analog synths.
