Big World, Little Om is a new project that showcases the lives of LGBTQ people in a format for children. Teaching young children that love comes in all different forms will help create a foundation of understanding as they go into school and embark on their journey through life.
With the help of everyone through this campaign, the goal is to turn this short show into a full television program for LGBTQ children and other children living in non-traditional households that will enable them to see representation of their family in a cartoon format.
Despite the breakthrough in Hollywood and independent films, there remains a lack of positive representation still exists for children, especially on mainstream television.
Big World, Little Om will be a show dedicated to showing how wonderful –but sometimes challenging—the lives are for unique families. It can be a child who has a disability, a refugee family, or how children cope in families going through a divorce.
