before the beginning ~

three sentences (or more) about something that happened before the plot of my current project.

Current Project: Fading Summer (Original Fiction)

His dad calls him an asshole when the cops are gone, tells him that he’s never going to amount to anything if he doesn’t stop screwing around. Well, fuck that, Skyler thinks as he pulls off his black hoodie gingerly and tosses it over the back of the desk chair in his room. He stops and admires his first tattoo in the mirror, the real reason him and his buddies went out tonight. It wasn’t his fault Dustin thought it would be funny to egg the car of this guy he hates from school. Definitely not his fault when that kid’s dad turned out to be home and chased them down the street with a baseball bat. Skyler runs his fingers over the still sensitive skin of his upper arm, wincing at the pain and knowing his mom is going to fucking kill him when she sees this. Doesn’t matter to him though. Two more years and he’s gone. Away from his overbearing mother and barely there father. Onto bigger and better things in a whole new city. He can’t fucking wait.

It’s late and I wanted to doodle some fluff(ish) as a way to wind down...lasted a lot longer than intended.

Been a while since I drew these two.  They’re always pretty fun.  Too bad it’s too late for anything more than stupid doodles. XD  (Hey, snowontheradio I still pick at that script, btw)

I just need to stop being lazy and actually draw some of the cooler ideas.  Needs more doofiness.

ILLUSTRATION FINAL AAAAA.  20 hours and 40 layers later.

I'd been using so much blue this semester that I just had to focus on red for a while.  And that I did.  And I think it turned out pretty nice.

And now, on to some other projects that I told myself I would get finished (or at least close to finished) by the end of next week.

There's actually a story behind this! =D

I sketched this a few months ago (I think it was when school was still in session), then a month or so ago that I decided to ink it to practice with my pens, and I decided to color it today!

The reason this isn't going on dA is because it's just a fancy-looking doodle and I actually get a bit embarrassed about putting fluffy stuff like this up on there. lD  I don't know why. (It's actually been a while since I've drawn something cutsey like this...kinda XD)

And the dude, there, Xavier (whose color scheme I kinda forget, so I'm going from what I remember), he belongs to my pal, snowontheradio (Frosted-Feathers on deviantART) who has been my buddy for a couple of years through an OCT (would you believe that?).  GO LOOK AT HER ART.  IT IS AMAZING AND DESERVES MUCH MORE ATTENTION THAN MINE.  WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?  GO!!
