in this time of AI generated bullshit, let your typos soothe you. let little grammar quirks bring you comfort. let mistakes be happy accidents. these are signs that you are human. that you crafted a story by smashing keys with your little fingers until the idea in your head was adequately displayed on paper. of course there are going to be typos. mistakes are human. typos are beautiful. personally, i will never click away from a fic if there are a few harmless typos scattered about. that just means someone actually wrote it, and maybe they were excited or emotional, maybe it wasn’t written in their first language, or maybe they’re just dead-tired from editing, but that adds to the human connection that brings us together. please, if you use AI to eliminate typos, grammar issues, or similar challenges, i beg you to stop. it’s okay if it isn’t perfect. it’s not supposed to be. give us your worst. that’s what we’re here for.

taking the day off tomorrow to ensure a swift recovery from wisdom teeth removal and yknow what. i think i’m gonna use the day to write the next few chapters of my nier fic that have been scaring the shit out of me. if not i’ll just cry and eat ice cream i guess

i’ve been having a rlly hard time working on my nier fic because all the convos i have to write are SO intricate in terms of what feelings need to get across to both the characters and the readers and there needs to be a very specific outcome to these convos that i need to railroad the dialogue into and it just. isn’t working. every time i try they start talking some other shit and get way off track.

naturally in this situation i would try a new oneshot to break up the stagnation in my brain but i’m afraid if i do that it’ll turn into a multichap 😭 send help maybe throw me a small prompt or something. if you know nothing about nier that’s fine. all you need to know is pretty dude with sword and pretty lady who swears. and child who is a secret weapon. and talking book.

the thing about being obsessed with kaine x nier from nier replicant is that i am still in the niche trenches. yes they are the most popular pairing of the series. yes there is art and fic of them. but not much!! just enough to make me crazy. scrolling through ao3 in bed and my gf looks over like “huh. you read all those fics already?” YEAP. it’s a quiet fandom and there aren’t many artists or writers who are into the fandom anyway, so i am yet again, starving. and i refuse to give up on the fixation. [in 2b voice] why does it always end like this. throwing chairs throwing tables throwing glass etc etc etc

i hate that i'm dying for positive feedback on a chapter featuring a background oc because i'm afraid the fact that there is an oc will drive readers away. just looking at the tags making them skip by. ugh. the worst part is i get it. sometimes i see a fic with an oc and i think "i'm not really in the mood to learn a new unfamiliar character". that's one of the primary reasons i read fic - to see more of my comfort characters/story. so i get it. but also. how do i make it clear this is a background oc with no soul whose only purpose is to highlight the main characters horrible trauma
