This is representing two important events in the end of the book, I think that this replicates what happened in the story. What I believe is that it was to demonstrate what it would be like to describe what had happened in the stories for the Sternberger's point of view. It was interesting to actually take the place as a Sternberger and actually write what it would feel like for one of the family members to think. Most likely, it was not Tennyson or Bronte, more like their parents. Overall. This was a good way to replicate a news article with the perspective of a Sternberger family member.
