I should really go to comic stores more often. I find such wonderful things, even in July!
Wormwood, Gentleman Corpse: Birds, Bees, Blood & Beer
I went shopping for comics in Aberdeen's independant comic book store, "Plan 9" and found this comic. The artwork struck me before anything else. It's my kind of artwork. Dark and gruesome
. When I went to purchase it, I got told this series was awesome, and it was a pity it hadn't carried on for longer. When I got home and started to read it, I loved it instantly. The first page was dark, and gritty. Set in a strip club, and straight away shit goes down. As the comic went on, I started to really enjoy the humour and the story, more and more. Not to mention the art work that I keep falling in love with page after page. I cannot wait to keep reading this! I am gutted it ended so quickly.
