Yes, strange style of ponies. I had to make up my own style because nothing copyrighted is allowed in the competition. I like this style actually, not sure what to call it. And to make one thing clear, they aren't meant to look real, they are meant to look like cartoons. Cartoons in their environment, somewhat like Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The theme of my project was how I am a daydreamer, and not a normal one at that. I go through what is called "maladaptive daydreaming", which is daydreaming excessively and very vividly. I can see scenes in my head in full color and detail as if from a book or movie. I often make faces and gestures that the character do. But I myself am not in the scene, I somewhat role play as the characters, many at once. With maladaptive daydreaming, I do know the difference between reality and fantasy, I just prefer fantasy. I've often taken long portions of time to think of a scene. My characters go through distressing situations, but find happy endings to them. Maybe I do that to think I'm not in such bad situations myself, but then, fantasize a world I wish I could live in. As for this piece, it is centered around how I am always alone at school. I do have kinda friends, but no true friends I can relate to at school. They all left. So for the past 2 1/2 years I've been sitting alone at lunch. Recently I've found some places I can sit. I draw, listen to music, do homework. In my head, I image my characters going through some of the same things as me, mostly future GentleSketch. But soon enough he finds a friend he can talk to during lunch. I've made GentleSketch have a lot of my qualities for some reason. That is the reason he is wearing the same outfit as me.
