i had a similar thought somewhere in my binge read of it. like, hey, this would be a perfect place to cut out and pretend all is right in the world but im a sad, masochistic idiot, apparently. i also got so attached so quickly to these versions of a & p that i just greedily wanted more pages about them, even if they were painful. sigh. i can’t stop thinking about it.

maybe this is an unpopular opinion but whether or not lukas and michi are close.. why does it matter? i wouldn't force people to be friends or to be closer than they are. what matters is that on screen they're absolutely fantastic together. they're not a real life couple so they don't have to be close. obviously it would be nice but yeah. it doesn't matter.

very well said! of course it’d be great if they became friends during the shooting of Druck. but even if they didn’t - how they acted as matteo and david and brought these characters to life and got me invested in them is what matters to me in the end. and both of them did such an amazing job! and that’s what’s going to stay in my mind :)
