If you're an MCR fan who came across this post, you might be thinking to yourself, "Who's this guy and why is he in the MCR tags?", I'm here to introduce you to Geoff Rickly, frontman-vocalist for Thursday band.

Why is he important? Well for one, if it weren't for Geoff Rickly, My Chemical Romance might have never existed: he signed on as producer of Bullets after Gerard convinced him to listen to a demo tape (aka The Attic Demos) of roughly cut songs Gerard had written and recorded with Ray Toro and Matt Pellisier.

AND 2 geoffrickly ? fantastic personality and musician. frankieromustdie ? didnt come out of the tour bus and didn't sign anything. but hes still amazing at what he does. kayleighgolds ? really nice. she looked like she hated us but she still took a picture hhng. tibgiblets ? he high fived me so he automatically wins. the other 2? didn't meet them idk but im sure they're nice. thanks to the merch guy for dealing with my mom and getting 4/5 of the band to sign the setlist and getting me a free poster. thats epic

Black] After the conviction of the #lostprophets frontman Ian the rest of the band wanted to keep on making music and they decided to work with #geoffrickly ‘s label #collectrecords. Later Geoff from #thursday also became the vocalist for the band (and the drummer for #blocparty also joined. They delivered a really good #postpunk record channeling #joydivision and #thecure. @collectrecords was destined for great things but stupid #shkreli fucked it all up. . Ian (vocals) was arrested in 2013 for paedophilia. He is a sickening human and he’ll probably spent the rest of his lifetime in jail. If he survives that cause his jail mates aren’t so keen on him. But, Lee and and the other guys (who also started No Devotion with #geoffrickly from #thursdayband , they don’t deserve to let their legacy be forgotten. #thefakesoundofprogress was a banger when it came out, and i would still want a #startsomething press. What are your thoughts about this. Keep listening to them, or never again? For me, think i listen to it once a year. Saw @geoffrickly over a month ago when he opened for @frankieromustdie. I only got photos of him in between songs because I was entranced by his performance. He was truly the best solo act I’ve ever seen live. And he dropped some truth about normalizing people having therapists and just being honest about himself with the audience. It was such a wonderfully intimate set, and I’m going to have to listen to more of @thursdayband because of it. Thank you, Geoff.
